영덕군은 지난 8월 1일부터 3일까지 강구 대게거리, 동광어시장, 강구항 어시장 일대에서 진행한 이번 행사에 전국 각지에서 4,000여 명의 방문객이 몰려 총 2억 원의 수익을 기록했다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 할인 행사는 8,000장의 할인쿠폰이 행사 이틀째인 2일 만에 모두 소진될 정도로 큰 인기를 끌었다. 행사 기간 중 발급된 할인쿠폰은 1인당 최대 2매, 매당 5,000원 상당으로, 총 5,000만 원의 예산이 도비 30%, 군비 70% 비율로 투입됐다.
영덕군은 이번 행사를 통해 관내 수산물의 품질과 경쟁력을 널리 알리고, 직접 체험한 소비자들로부터 긍정적인 반응을 얻으며 지역 수산물에 대한 인식 제고에도 성과를 거뒀다.
김광열 영덕군수는 “짧은 시간 안에 할인쿠폰이 소진되는 모습을 보며 영덕 수산물의 높은 인기를 실감했다”며 “앞으로도 지역 수산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 다양한 소비 촉진 행사를 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
영덕군은 이번 행사의 성공을 계기로 지역 수산물 판로 확대와 관광 연계형 마케팅 전략을 더욱 강화해 나갈 방침이다.
