【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 교사들이 특별한 연수를 위해 동해안으로 향한다. 대구시교육청은 4일부터 이틀간 초·중등 교사 59명을 대상으로 울진 일대에서 '생태탐사 직무연수'를 진행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 연수는 대구시교육청과 국립해양과학관이 지난해 3월 맺은 업무협약에 따른 것으로 해양과학 기반의 체험형 활동과 현장 탐사를 통해 교사들의 해양 소양과 탐구 지도 역량을 높이는 것이 목표다.
교사들이 교실을 벗어나 바다와 동굴, 계곡에서 직접 생태계를 체험하며 교육 역량을 키우는 색다른 기회가 될 전망이다.
국립해양과학관은 2020년 7월 문을 연 국내 유일의 해양과학 전문기관으로, 전시관과 실험실, 교육실, 바닷속 전망대, 숙박시설까지 갖춘 종합 교육 공간이다.
프로그램은 해양과학 전문가 특강을 시작으로 전시 연계 탐구 활동, 해양 생물 관찰, 왕피천과 성류굴 일대 생태탐방 등으로 꾸려졌다.
특히 생태와 지질 환경 자원을 직접 탐사하고 체험하는 과정에서 생태계 보전의 중요성을 체감하고, 이를 과학·생태 수업에 바로 적용할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
강은희 교육감은 "교사들이 다양한 현장 탐사를 통해 해양과 생태에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 이를 바탕으로 학생들에게 생생한 교육을 실현해주길 바란다"고 말했다.

In particular, it was designed to foster a deeper understanding of the importance of ecosystem conservation through hands-on exploration and experience of ecological and geological resources, enabling students to directly apply this knowledge to science and ecology classes.
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee stated, "I hope teachers will broaden their understanding of the ocean and ecology through diverse field trips and use this knowledge to provide students with a vivid education."
