【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구와 경북이 새 정부의 국가균형성장 전략에 공동 대응하기 위해 힘을 모았다.
이철우 경북도지사와 김정기 대구광역시장 권한대행은 13일부터 ‘대구경북 공동 협력 T/F’를 구성해 본격 가동에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
이번 협력체는 새 정부의 국정과제와 지역 공약을 빠르게 분석하고 대응하기 위해 마련됐다.
정부는 이날 국정기획위원회 대국민보고회를 통해 국정 5개년 계획과 국가 운영 방향을 발표하며, 수도권 중심 성장 전략으로는 국가 발전을 이어가기 어렵다고 판단하고 ‘5극 3특’ 중심의 균형성장 전략을 추진한다고 밝혔다.
대구경북 공동 협력 T/F는 두 지역의 핵심 현안을 함께 논의하고 전략적 대응 방안을 마련하는 행정 협력기구다. 김호진 경북도 기획조정실장과 오준혁 대구시 기획조정실장이 공동단장을 맡았으며, 경북연구원과 대구정책연구원이 전략 수립과 연구를 지원한다.
이번 회의에서는 지역 발전을 위한 핵심 과제를 선정했다. 분야별로는 신공항, 대구경북순환철도망, 영일만항 등 초광역 SOC, 미래모빌리티·AI로봇·이차전지·바이오 등 미래전략산업, 포스트 APEC·초광역 관광그리드 등 문화·관광 개발, 인재양성과 탄소중립 등 사회·환경 분야가 포함됐다.
대구와 경북은 기존 민간 협력 기구인 ‘한뿌리상생위원회’를 확대·재편하고, 시민 대표와 전문가 그룹을 참여시키는 협력 네트워크를 강화할 계획이다. 또한 T/F 회의를 정례화해 사업화를 신속히 추진하고, 필요하면 별도 협의체를 만들어 협력 범위를 넓혀나갈 방침이다.
김호진 경북도 기획조정실장은 “대구와 경북이 긴밀히 협력해 지역 현안을 해결하고, 새 정부의 정책과 함께 국가 균형성장 전략을 선도해 나가는 것이 중요하다”고 말했다.
오준혁 대구시 기획조정실장은 “지역의 성공이 곧 국가의 성장으로 이어진다”며 “대구와 경북이 함께 성장할 수 있는 협력 사업을 발굴하고, 그 결과가 지역 발전의 마중물이 되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
대구경북 공동 협력 T/F는 앞으로 정부의 국정운영 계획을 면밀히 분석하고, 이에 맞춘 공동 대응 전략을 신속히 마련해 실행에 나설 계획이다.

Daegu and Gyeongbuk plan to expand and reorganize the existing private sector cooperation organization, the "Hanrooti Mutual Growth Committee," and strengthen the cooperative network by involving civic representatives and expert groups. They also plan to regularly hold task force meetings to expedite commercialization and, if necessary, establish separate consultative bodies to broaden the scope of cooperation.
Kim Ho-jin, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "It is important for Daegu and Gyeongbuk to work closely together to address regional issues and, in conjunction with the new administration's policies, lead the national balanced growth strategy."
Oh Jun-hyeok, Director of the Daegu Metropolitan City Planning and Coordination Office, stated, "Regional success directly translates into national growth. We hope to identify collaborative projects that can foster shared growth between Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and that the results will serve as a catalyst for regional development."
The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Joint Cooperation Task Force plans to closely analyze the government's national governance plans and swiftly develop and implement a joint response strategy tailored to them.
