【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 12일부터 13일까지 양일간 태풍과 폭우에 대비해 신속한 대응과 주민 대피를 위한 재난안전통신망 기반 ‘현장중심 재난연락 체계’ 강화훈련을 실시했다.
훈련은 시청 재난안전상황실에서 재난안전대책본부 협업부서와 구청·읍면동을 대상으로 진행됐다.

12일에는 구청·읍면동을, 13일에는 협업부서를 대상으로 재난안전통신망 단말기 조작법, 상호 통신 절차, 현장 상황 파악 요령, 상황보고서 작성법 등을 교육했다.
재난안전통신망은 재난 현장에서 상황을 신속히 전파하고 대응하기 위해 영상·음성·데이터 등 다양한 멀티미디어를 송·수신할 수 있는 전국 단일 무선통신망으로, 정부는 현장 중심의 신속한 대처를 위해 활용 범위를 지속 확대하고 있다.
포항시는 경찰·소방·군부대 등 유관기관과 매일 정기 교신을 실시하며, 유사시 긴급 소통에 대비하고 있다. 지난해에는 구청과 29개 읍·면·동에 재난안전통신망을 보급했으며, 올해는 본청 재난안전대책본부 협업부서로 보급을 확대해 재난 대응 소통 체계를 한층 강화했다.
또한, 재난안전통신망 일일훈련과 매월 재난 대응 영상회의를 운영하고태풍·집중호우 등 극한 기상에 대비한 하천 붕괴 대처 훈련을 정기적으로 실시해 현장 대응 역량을 강화하고 있다.
이강덕 포항시장은 “예측하기 어려운 재난으로부터 시민의 안전을 지키기 위해서는 현장에서의 신속한 전파 체계 구축이 중요하다”며 “현장 중심의 재난대응 체계를 지속 강화해 안전도시 포항을 구현하겠다”고 말했다.
