【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 올해 처음 도입한 '어린이집 유아 정서·심리 상담 지원 사업'이 학부모와 교사들로부터 호평을 받고 있다고 19일 밝혔다.
유보통합이라는 교육 정책 변화 흐름 속에서 시작된 이번 사업은 경북에서는 처음 시행되는 어린이집 지원 정책이다.
그동안 유치원에만 제공되던 전문 상담 서비스가 어린이집 유아들에게도 확대된 것이다.
도내 어린이집에 다니는 유아라면 누구나 외부 전문 기관을 통해 개별 상담을 받을 수 있으며, 1인당 회당 5만원씩 최대 10회까지 총 50만원의 상담·치료비가 지원된다. 운영 기간은 올해 6월부터 11월까지 6개월간이다.
상담 프로그램은 유아 발달 과정에서 흔히 나타나는 다양한 문제들을 다룬다.
정서적 불안이나 언어 상호작용의 어려움, 주의력 결핍, 또래와의 갈등 등에 대해 전문적인 도움을 받을 수 있다.
놀이치료와 미술치료, 음악치료 등 다양한 치료 방식이 준비되어 있어 각 유아의 성향과 필요에 맞는 맞춤형 상담이 가능하다.
교육청은 이 사업을 통해 여러 방면의 효과를 기대하고 있다. 유아들의 정서 안정과 문제행동 개선은 물론, 사회성과 적응력 향상까지 도모할 수 있을 것으로 보고 있다. 아울러 전문가의 도움으로 보호자들의 양육 부담도 크게 줄어들 것으로 예상된다고 설명했다.
