유영일 경기도의원, 인덕원 역세권 기회타운 착공 준비상황 점검

경기도의회 도시환경위원회 유영일 부위원장(국민의힘, 안양5)이 지난 8월 28일 경기도의회 안양상담소에서 경기도 및 경기주택도시공사(GH) 관계자들로부터 인덕원 역세권 기회타운 착공식 추진현황에 대한 보고를 받고 사업 전반을 점검했다.

유영일 부위원장은 이날 사업 추진 배경과 경과, 현재 진행 상황과 향후 계획을 상세히 보고받으며 “정책사업이 원활히 진행되기 위해서는 철저한 준비와 협치가 무엇보다 중요하다”고 강조했다.

인덕원 역세권 기회타운 사업은 총 1조100억 원이 투입돼 약 15만㎡ 규모로 조성되는 사업으로 △AI·모빌리티·바이오 중심의 테크노밸리, △청년·신혼부부를 위한 창업지원주택 511호, △환승센터 조성 등이 주요 계획에 포함돼 있고, 약 5,000여 명의 일자리 창출과 함께 지역경제 활성화, 청년·신혼세대 지원 등 다양한 파급효과가 기대된다.

유영일 부위원장은 “기회타운 사업은 지역경제와 청년세대의 미래를 동시에 견인할 핵심 프로젝트”라며, “착공식이 차질 없이 진행될 수 있도록 관계기관이 긴밀히 협력해 달라”고 당부했다.

Vice Chairperson Yoo Young-il (People Power Party, Anyang 5) of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Urban Environment Committee received a report on the progress of the Indeokwon Station Area Opportunity Town groundbreaking ceremony from officials from Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) at the council's Anyang Counseling Center on August 28th and reviewed the overall project.

Vice Chairperson Yoo received a detailed report on the background and progress of the project, its current status, and future plans, emphasizing, "Thorough preparation and cooperation are paramount for the smooth implementation of policy projects."

The Indeokwon Station Area Opportunity Town project will be built on approximately 150,000 square meters with a total investment of 1.01 trillion won. Key initiatives include the creation of a Techno Valley focused on AI, mobility, and biotechnology; 511 startup support housing units for young people and newlyweds; and the construction of a transfer center. These initiatives are expected to create approximately 5,000 jobs, revitalize the local economy, and support young people and newlyweds, among other benefits.
