진주시, 남강유등축제 앞두고 남가람공원 현장 점검

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 10월 4일부터 19일까지 열리는 진주남강유등축제를 앞두고, 축제장을 찾을 시민과 관광객의 쾌적한 환경을 위해 남가람공원 현장 점검을 실시했다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 조규일 시장을 비롯해 공원녹지과장 등 관계자가 함께 참여해, 공원 내 수목과 시설물 상태를 세밀히 확인해 축제 준비 상황을 점검하는 등 현장의 문제점을 꼼꼼히 살폈다.

이번 점검 결과 일부 수목이 과도하게 자라 남강의 조망을 가리고 있어 축제장의 주요 경관을 해치는 동시에 나무 생육에도 바람직하지 않아 정비할 계획이다.
