이번 개정의 핵심은 니코틴이 포함된 모든 제품을 담배로 정의해 법적 규제 대상에 포함한 것이다. 그동안 규제 사각지대에 있던 전자담배도 앞으로는 일반 담배와 동일한 기준을 적용받게 된다.

가평군보건소는 개정 법령의 빠른 안착을 위해 관내 담배 소매점과 자동판매기 등을 대상으로 오는 27일부터 현장 점검과 계도 활동에 착수한다. 추후 위반사항이 적발될 경우 행정처분을 내릴 방침이다.
