【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구의 대표 축제로 자리잡은 봉무공원 곤충 페스티벌이 올해 역대 최다 관람객을 기록하며 성황리에 막을 내렸다.
동구는 제5회 봉무공원 곤충 페스티벌이 약 3만2천여 명의 관람객이 찾아 2019년 첫 개최 이래 최다 관람객을 경신했다고 23일 밝혔다.
이번 페스티벌은 대구 유일의 곤충테마공간인 봉무나비생태원을 중심으로 동구의 아름다운 자연환경과 나비, 곤충을 주제로 지난 20일부터 21일까지 이틀간 펼쳐졌다.
특설무대에서는 인기 유튜버 '다흑', '정브르'가 출연해 자연과 곤충을 주제로 어린이 관람객들과 소통했다. 매직·버블·빅벌룬 퍼포먼스 등 다채로운 무대가 축제 분위기를 한껏 달궜다.
전시관에서는 다양한 세계의 곤충들, 멸종위기 동식물전, 기후변화 생물 지표전, 물속생물전이 열렸다. 밤에 만나는 곤충들과 장수하늘소 등 멸종위기 곤충전도 함께 진행돼 자연생태보호의 중요성을 알리는 교육의 장 역할을 했다.
축제장 전역에서는 동구의 미래 발전상과 K-2 후적지 개발 등을 소개하는 코너가 마련됐다. 다양한 소품을 사고파는 플리마켓과 동구 지역특산물 홍보부스도 운영됐다.
장수풍뎅이 유충 나눔 등 다양한 체험활동과 아름다운 단산지 풍경을 배경으로 한 휴게존이 관람객들에게 휴식과 힐링의 시간을 제공했다. 축제의 즐거움을 더하는 푸드존, 어린이들을 위한 곤충 에어바운스, 전기 셔틀버스 운영 등 다양한 즐길거리로 관람객들의 발길이 끊이지 않았다.
윤석준 동구청장은 "동구의 아름다운 자연과 신비로운 곤충의 이색적인 모습을 즐기는 이번 곤충 페스티벌이 가족과 함께 하는 프로그램으로 힐링과 기쁨을 선사하는 잊지 못할 추억이 되셨기를 바란다"고 말했다.
