행복북구문화재단(이사장 배광식)은 지난 27일부터 28일까지 이틀간 산격대교 하단 일원에서 열린 이번 축제가 ‘금호강, the(더) 축제’라는 슬로건에 걸맞게 한 단계 성장했다고 29일 밝혔다.
올해 축제는 단순히 보고 즐기는 무대를 넘어 ‘쉼’과 ‘참여’를 핵심 가치로 내세웠다. 6개 테마존으로 나뉜 현장에는 음악과 공연뿐 아니라 체험과 놀이, 힐링 프로그램이 어우러져 가족 단위 관람객들에게 큰 호응을 얻었다.
특히 광복 80주년을 기념한 AI 해설 사진전, 지역 주민이 함께하는 금호강 가요제, 정상급 아티스트 공연 등 다채로운 무대가 축제 분위기를 끌어올렸다.

3,300㎡ 규모의 인조잔디가 깔린 힐링존은 쉼터와 체험공간을 동시에 갖춰 호평을 받았다.
돗자리와 소품 대여, 요가·댄스 체험, 금호강 그림그리기 대회 등 프로그램이 가족과 아이들에게 인기를 끌었고, 장애인 관람객들도 편리하게 이동할 수 있어 “배려 깊은 축제였다”는 긍정적인 반응이 이어졌다.
푸드존에서는 다회용기 사용과 텀블러 할인제를 도입해 친환경 실천을 강조했다.
금호강을 무대로 한 레포츠존에서는 RC 요트, 카약, 윈드서핑 등 수상 체험이 강화돼 대구 도심 속에서 색다른 즐거움을 선사했다.
배광식 행복북구문화재단 이사장은 “금호강 축제가 자연과 문화, 주민이 함께 어우러진 힐링의 장으로 자리 잡았다”며 “앞으로도 금호강을 중심으로 북구와 대구의 가치를 높일 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
