【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구청(구청장 윤석준)이 2024년 한 해 동안 1만571개의 일자리를 창출하며 당초 목표치(9,836개)의 107.5%를 달성했다.
동구는 고용노동부가 주관하는 ‘2025년 전국 지방자치단체 일자리대상’에서 공시제 부문 우수상(기관표창)을 수상했다고 30일 밝혔다.
특히 고용 지표와 인구 유입 모두에서 긍정적인 성과가 나타났다. 2023년 대비 고용보험 피보험자가 2,505명(3.62%) 늘었고, 30대 인구도 730명(1.68%) 증가했다. 이는 청년층의 정착과 경제활동 기반 확충이 동시에 이뤄지고 있음을 보여준다.
동구청은 △중장년·여성·노인을 위한 일자리 안전망 구축 △청년도전지원사업 △첨단의료복합단지·의료R&D지구 연계 GMP 인허가 전문인력 양성 △K-의료산업 청년리더 지원사업 등 지역 특성에 맞는 맞춤형 정책을 추진해 높은 평가를 받았다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “청년 인구 유입과 구민 삶의 질 개선을 위해 동구에 맞는 양질의 일자리를 지속적으로 만들어 나가겠다”며 “역동적인 경제도시 동구 실현에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
