이슬람이 생겨난 이후, 파죽지세로 조로아스터교 국가였던 사산 왕조 페르시아, 정교 국가였던 비잔틴 제국을 밀어붙이며 영토를 확장해 이슬람 제국을 만들었고 북아프리카를 횡단하여 스페인을 정복하고 프랑스로 진출하려 했지만 투르와 프와티에 전투에서 프랑크의 명재상 카를 마르텔에게 패배하여 확장을 멈추었던 무슬림들은 정복지 내에서 관용을 베풀어 타 종교도 인정했다. 그 대신에 국가를 운영하기 위해 세금을 걷었는데 이러한 종교인정세는 지즈야(Jizya)라고 불렸다. 무슬림들은 세금을 걷는 것 이외에 그 어떤 종교활동도 관여하지 않았다. 그런 이슬람의 관용을 무시하고 무슬림들을 강압적으로 대하려 한 세력은 바로 유럽의 기독교 세력이었다. 교황 우르바노 2세는 유럽의 왕들과 영주, 기사들을 소집하여 성지(聖地)인 예루살렘 탈환과 같은 기독교 형제들을 이교도의 압제에서 구해야 된다고 군사들의 결집을 호소했고 1097년 성지 탈환을 위해 제1차 십자군 원정이 시작되었다.
1099년 예루살렘을 탈환한 유럽 기독교인들은 무슬림들을 학살하고 그들의 재물을 약탈하기 시작했다. 예루살렘의 대학살은 무려 10만이 넘는 무슬림들의 피로 요르단 강을 붉게 물들었고 이런 참혹한 상황을 보던 무슬림들은 피의 보복을 다짐한다. 이후로 이어진 십자군 전쟁에서 50만 이상의 무슬림들이 살해되었다. 그런 희생을 치르고도 무슬림들은 유럽 기독교 세력들을 막아내며 그들의 종교를 지켜냈다. 십자군 전쟁의 승리는 무슬림들에게 있어 지하드(聖戰)의 상징이 되었다. 그런 기독교에 대해 오스만투르크 등의 제국들이 동유럽을 정복했어도 그들에게 이슬람 개종을 강요하지 않았고 그 대신 세금을 걷으며 기독교를 인정해주었다. 현재 터키 땅과 동유럽의 정교회 성당, 카톨릭 성당 등이 오래 버티며 영욕의 세월을 유지해 온 것도 오스만 제국의 이러한 용인이 있었기에 가능했다. 그러나 유럽의 기독교는 관용이란 존재하지 않았다.
대항해시대로 인해 유럽 열강의 제국주의의 역사가 시작되었을 때, 유럽의 기독교인들은 예수를 앞세워 타 종교를 우상이고 이교도라 하여 학살하고 그들의 성상을 때려부쉈으며 아시아의 무슬림들을 공격하여 약탈하고 학살하여 노예로 삼았다. 그리고 기독교로의 개종을 강요했다. 동남아시아의 상당수 전통있는 모스크가 파괴된 것은 이들 유럽 기독교도들의 만행이었다. 그렇게 제국주의 열강이 되었던 당시, 무슬림들을 박해하고 핍박했던 유럽 기독교도들이 이제는 반대로 무슬림들의 테러를 걱정하고 자신들의 안전을 걱정하고 있다. 그동안 유럽의 기독교로 점철되는 문화를 전 세계 각지를 식민지화하여 강제로 주입시키고 땅 끝까지 복음을 전하며 다른 종교를 인정하지 않고 타 종교의 신성한 공간이나 성상을 우상이라 여기고 파괴하며 예수의 사랑을 공포와 파괴의 정책으로 자행했던 그들의 행위에 대해 유럽 기독교인들은 여태까지 교황님이 한번 사과한 것 외에는 단 한번도 무슬림들과 여태까지 탄압했던 타 종교들에게 사과한적 없다.
그러면서 자신들이 잘못한 부산물들에 대한 일말의 책임감도 느끼지 않고 있으며 난민들에 대한 책임은 그들에게도 있음에 그들은 이 원인에 대해 통감하지 못하고 있다. 아니, 못하고 있다기 보다는 자신들의 과오를 모른척 하고 싶거나, 역사를 인정하고 싶지 않다는 것이 맞을지도 모르겠다. 독일이 나치의 잘못에 대해 매년 사과하고 유태인들과 유럽국가들에 머리를 숙이고 있지만 정작 자신들이 당했던 행위는 엄격하고 자신들이 한 행위에 대해서는 피해자 코스프레를 하며 무슬림들을 공동의 적으로 만들고 그들을 축출해야 한다고 떠들고 있다. 세속주의적인 국가들이라면 서구 기독교적 가치를 존중하면서 공존할 수 있지만 샤리아의 통치 개념을 가진 신정주의 국가는 동화와 공존이 불가능하다. 나는 세속주의적인 마인드라 모든 문화와 종교의 가치를 인정하고 공존해야 한다고 생각하지만 원리주의나 신정주의 마인드의 무슬림들은 중세 카톨릭 꼴통들과 비슷하다 보면 된다.
사실 이러한 꼴통 원리주의를 만들어 놓은 집단은 서구이다. 서구의 식민지화, 침탈, 분열로 인한 내전을 부추기게 만든다. 그러다보니 이들에게는 그 자구책으로 선전한 것이 원리주의, 근본주의였다. 기독교의 식민 종주 세력과 싸우면서 자신들의 민족주의를 내세우며 이슬람 원리주의로 흘러가 이를 한 몸으로 융합시키는 것이다. 그러면서 투쟁을 강조하고 이를 성전(聖戰)으로 규정한다. 그러니 곳곳에 테러들이 발생하는 이유이기도 하다. 사막 유목 문화와 높은 아랍 및 페르시아, 투르크 문명권의 결합은 토속문화와 문명권의 결합이라 볼 수 있는데 중동지역의 토속 문화는 씨족 중심이라 굉장히 폐쇄적이다. 환경이 그러다보니 그 고장 사람들끼리 통혼할 수밖에 없었고 근친 결혼도 흔할 수밖에 없었다. 그리고 그 토속적 관례는 매우 철저히 지키며 다른 문화는 경계하고 자신들의 영역에 들어오면 그것을 지키라고 강요하는 습성이 있다. 그것이 그들이 종족을 유지하는 방법이고, 중동적인 관습을 유지하는 방법이다.
유럽 국민들의 세금에 빨대를 꽂고 샤리아 율법을 지키며 절대 그 유럽의 사회에 동화되지 않는 이유, 그들의 침투와 샤리아를 계속하는 이유가 여기에 있다. 이미 이들에게 있어서 유럽이든 어디든, 자신들의 관습은 존중받아야 하는 것이고, 타 문화, 특히 현지 문화를 터부시하며 그것 또한 원리주의자들에게는 성전이라 믿고 있기 때문이다. 과거 오스만 제국은 다양성과 포용성으로 세계적인 제국을 이루었기에 유럽인들조차도 선망했었고, 기독교인들 입장에서는 가장 증오하고 애증인 국가가 되었었지만 지금 무슬림들은 오스만 제국보다 수준도 떨어지고, 서방에 대한 독기 밖에 없다. 서구가 식민지화 하기 위해, 혹은 이스라엘 같은 나라를 세우기 위해 중동에 끝없이 협잡질을 하지 않았다면 이들이 이렇게까지 변했을까? 아랍의 봄, 시리아 내전, 팔레스타인 전쟁, 리비아 내전, 예멘 후티 전쟁, 1~4차 중동전쟁 등, 중동에서 벌어지고 있는 80% 이상의 전쟁들이 죄다 서구가 개입해서 일어난 전쟁이다. 원인 제공은 서구가 했고, 그 씨앗을 옮겨 심은 것도 서구이다.
보편적 인류가치로 따진다면 더불어 사는 인류 사회에서 그 처지를 헤아려 받아줄 수 있지만 세상의 이치는 늘 보편적인 인류가치로 따지지는 않는다. 국가가 있고 국민들이 있는 이상, 국가와 국민이 먼저이기 때문이다. 인류애적으로 조금씩 도움을 줄 수 있지만 그 이상으로는 한계에 도달할 수 있는 문제이기 때문에 여러모로 난색을 표하고 있는 것 또한 사실이다. 그리고 이를 각국의 이해관계에 따라서 정치적, 정략적, 외교적인 부분에 이용되기도 한다. 우선적으로 말해서 난민이 발생하게 만든 도의적인 책임을 갖고 있는 국가에서 이를 선행하여 해결해야 할 부분이라 생각이 든다. 팔레스타인 문제, 석유 자원, 쿠르드족 문제 등 각종 문제에 미국과 서유럽이 끼어 있었고 이러한 문제들은 집단 테러로 인한 대대적인 저항에 직면했다. 결국 아프가니스탄, 이라크 등에 미국을 비롯한 서방 국가들이 공격에 나섰지만 장기전 끝에 쫓겨간 것은 미국과 서방 국가들이었고 이들에 의해 생성된 난민이 최대 80%에 달한다. EU는 책임을 통감하고 인도주의적으로 국경을 열어 난민들을 받아들였지만 이 또한 쉽사리 감당이 안 되고 있다.
중동에서 어떠한 사태가 발생했음 자기들끼리 해결하도록 냅둬야 하는데 여기저기 끼어들어 결국은 이와 같은 문제들을 만들었다. 게다가 EU에서는 난민들을 수용하기 위한 할당제를 도입해 수용시키고 이를 따르지 않는 국가들에 제재도 가하기도 했다. 서구 유럽은 아프리카, 중동, 동남아시아, 남아시아, 북중미, 남미, 태평양 군도들과 오세아니아 등을 식민지로 만들었고, 그들을 착취해서 번영해 놓고 여태 사과 한 번 한적 없다. 그리고 열강들 간의 국제 정치적, 외교적 이해 문제로 자신들끼리 갈등이 빚어져 결국 자신들 내부의 문제들을 해결하기 위해 자신들이 과거에 식민지로 삼았던 사람들에게 문을 개방했고, 식민지인들이 들어오면서 고스란히 부메랑이 되어 돌아오고 있다. 서유럽에는 과거 식민지였던 주민들이 들어와 국내에서 부상해 정치권과 경제권에 진출했고 이제는 역으로 과거 자신들을 지배했던 서유럽 백인 지배층들을 피지배층으로 놓고 부리고 있다. 이러한 현상은 앞으로도 계속될 것이며 과거 식민지로 부를 누리고, 지배층이었던 현지인들은 과거의 피식민계층의 지배를 받게 될 것이다.
앞으로 영국은 인도계가 계속 총리를 먹을 것이고 프랑스는 북아프리카계가, 독일은 나미비아나 모잠비크계가 정계를 지배하게 될 것이다. 벨기에는 콩고계, 스페인은 물라토 등의 북중미 카리브계나 남미 메스티소들, 포르투갈은 브라질계와 서인도 및 서아프리카계, 네덜란드는 인도네시아계, 이탈리아는 리비아 출신 아랍계 및 베르베르인, 에티오피아 및 소말리아계 등에게 정계를 내주고 이들이 EU의 일원이 되어 유럽을 잠식해 나갈 것이다. 10년 뒤, EU 총회나 정상들 모임에 백인을 보기 힘들지도, 그나마 그 백인들이 알제리계, 터키계 등 아랍계 백인이거나 남미 히스페닉 백인일지도 모른다. 그리고 현재 EU는 그 과정에 있다 해도 과언이 아니다. 이 모든게 서구 기독교인들과 제국주의자들이 만들어낸 자업자득(自業自得), 인과응보(因果應報)다. lukybaby7@gmail.com

Muslims were not allowed to engage in any religious activities other than collecting taxes. The forces that ignored this Islamic tolerance and attempted to oppress Muslims were none other than the Christian powers of Europe. Pope Urban II summoned the kings, lords, and knights of Europe to rally their armies, calling for the recapture of Jerusalem, the Holy Land, and the liberation of their Christian brethren from pagan oppression. While Germany apologizes annually for the Nazis' wrongdoings and bows to the Jews and European nations, they are stern in their own treatment of the perpetrators. They play the victim, portraying Muslims as common enemies and demanding their expulsion. Secular nations can coexist while respecting Western Christian values, but a theocratic state governed by Sharia cannot assimilate or coexist. As a secularist, I believe in recognizing and coexisting with the values of all cultures and religions. However, Muslims with fundamentalist or theocratic mindsets are similar to the idiot Catholics of the Middle Ages.
In fact, the West is the group that created this idiot fundamentalism. It fueled civil wars stemming from Western colonization, invasion, and division. Consequently, fundamentalism and fundamentalism were the self-defense strategies they employed. Ultimately, Western countries, including the United States, launched attacks on Afghanistan, Iraq, and other countries. In the future, Britain will continue to have Indian Prime Ministers, France will be dominated by North Africans, and Germany by Namibian or Mozambicans. Belgium will cede power to Congolese, Spain to mulattos and other Caribbean and South American mestizos, Portugal to Brazilians, West Indians, and West Africans, the Netherlands to Indonesians, and Italy to Libyan Arabs and Berbers, Ethiopians, and Somalis. These people will join the EU and encroach upon Europe. Ten years from now, it might be difficult to see white people at EU General Assembly meetings or summits.
