【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대경대 연기예술과가 20일 중국 상하이에서 막을 내린 '상하이 48시간 프린지 페스티벌'에서 창작극 <C-666>(연출 김성환)으로 드라마상인 대상을 받았다.
작품은 지구 탄소 배출의 심각성을 다원예술 형식으로 표현해 높은 평가를 받았다.
이번에 상을 받은 <C-666>은 연기예술과 4학년(심화과정) 전공 학생들이 1학기 '퍼포먼스 액팅' 전공 수업에서 만든 창작극이다. 작품은 탄소 배출로 인한 이상기후와 인류 생존 위기를 주제로, 대사 없이 사운드·오브제·공간·퍼포머의 움직임만으로 꾸며진 다원예술 공연으로 완성됐다.
특히 이 작품은 '2025 상하이 프린지 빌 페스티벌'을 주최하는 중국 민간예술단체 소석문화상해유한회사(대표 라뤠민) 관계자들이 지난 9월 대경대 남양주캠퍼스를 찾아 대학 로비 공연을 보면서 초청이 이뤄졌다.
라뤠민 대표는 "극장 공간이 아닌 자연공간을 활용한 학생들의 표현이 신선했다"며 "이 작품을 통해 한중 청년 예술가들의 교류가 더욱 활발해질 것"이라고 평가했다.
폐막식에서는 대경대 연기예술과 뮤지컬팀이 초청돼 K-뮤지컬 갈라쇼를 선보였다. 김건표 교수는 "대경대 연기예술과 학생들의 창작 작품이 중국 무대에서도 성과를 거두고 있는 만큼, 앞으로 한중일 청년예술가 페스티벌을 직접 기획해 나갈 계획"이라고 밝혔다.
중국 대표로 베이징대학교 공연예술 전공 학생들도 참가한 '48시간 프린지 페스티벌'은 상하이 최대 연극·뮤지컬 축제인 '상하이 프린지 빌 페스티벌'의 청년예술가 부문으로, 소석문화상해유한회사가 주최하는 대표적인 공연예술 축제다.
소석문화 주한 대표이자 극단 제자백가의 이훈경 대표는 "앞으로 대학로와 상하이를 잇는 한중 연극예술가 교류를 넓히기 위해 내년에는 더욱 다양한 프린지 페스티벌을 준비하겠다"고 밝혔다.
이번 폐막식에는 한국 대표 연극 교류 사절단으로 오태근 전 한국연극협회 이사장, 이훈경 대표, 장경민 소극장협회 이사장, 임정혁 전 이사장, 채수옥, 황윤동 연출가를 비롯해 공재민, 김종필, 주혜자 등 연극인들이 대거 참석했다.
오태근 이사장은 "상하이 프린지 빌 페스티벌의 우수 작품들을 고마나루국제연극제와의 교류를 통해 국내 무대로도 넓혀 나가겠다"고 말했다.
'2025 상하이 프린지 빌 페스티벌'은 지난달 21일부터 이달 20일까지 100여 작품들이 릴레이로 30일 동안 열렸다.

At the closing ceremony, the musical team from Daekyung University's Department of Acting Arts was invited to perform a K-Musical Gala Show. Professor Kim Geon-pyo stated, "As the creative works of Daekyung University's Department of Acting Arts are achieving success on the Chinese stage, we plan to directly plan a Korea-China-Japan Youth Artists Festival in the future."
The "48-Hour Fringe Festival," in which students majoring in performing arts from Peking University represented China, is the youth artist category of the "Shanghai Fringeville Festival," Shanghai's largest theater and musical festival. It is a major performing arts festival hosted by Soseok Culture Shanghai Co., Ltd.
Lee Hoon-kyung, representative of Soseok Culture Korea and director of the Jejabaekga Theater Company, stated, "We will prepare even more diverse fringe festivals next year to expand exchanges between Korean and Chinese theater artists connecting Daehakro and Shanghai."
The closing ceremony was attended by a large number of theater professionals, including former Chairman Oh Tae-geun of the Korean Theatre Association, CEO Lee Hoon-kyung, Chairman Jang Kyung-min of the Small Theater Association, former Chairman Lim Jeong-hyeok, directors Chae Su-ok and Hwang Yun-dong, as well as Gong Jae-min, Kim Jong-pil, and Joo Hye-ja.
Chairman Oh Tae-geun stated, "We will expand the reach of the Shanghai Fringeville Festival's excellent works to the domestic stage through exchanges with the Gomanaru International Theatre Festival."
The '2025 Shanghai Fringeville Festival' ran for 30 days, from the 21st of last month to the 20th of this month, featuring over 100 works.
