전북 진안군은 국가를 위해 헌신한 분들의 희생과 공헌을 기리는 동시에 지역 보훈단체의 숙원사업 해결을 위해 19일 보훈회관 신축공사 착공식을 개최했다.
이날 착공식은 전춘성 군수와 동창옥 진안군의회 의장을 비롯 신경순 전북동부보훈지청장과 관내 보훈 단체장 및 회원 등 약 120여 명이 참석한 가운데 보훈 가족의 복지와 권익 향상을 위한 첫걸음을 축하했다.
신축 보훈회관은 총사업비 39억원(국비 5억ㆍ도비 5억ㆍ군비 29억)을 투입, 순화리 옛 농산물품질관리원 순창지소 부지(면적 901㎡)에 연면적 798㎡ 규모의 지상 3층 건물로 조성된다.
내년 12월 준공을 목표로 추진되는 보훈회관은 국가를 위해 헌신한 보훈대상자와 시민들이 함께 이용할 수 있는 열린 보훈 복합시설로 운영될 계획이다.
1~2층은 7개 보훈단체 개별 사무공간과 소회의실ㆍ3층은 강당과 라운지(휴식공간) 등 다목적 시설이 들어서고 주차장도 7면(법정 4면)을 확보해 이용 편의성도 높인다.
