파주교육지원청은 ‘호기심으로 여는 세계 시민 학교’ IBEP 프로그램이 11월 19일 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 10월 1일부터 11월 19일까지 매주 수요일 총 7회기, 14차시로 파양초등학교에서 진행됐다.
파주 관내 초등학교 4~6학년 학생 15명이 참여해 국제적 관점의 탐구 학습을 경험했다.
‘호기심으로 여는 세계 시민 학교’는 세계시민교육과 국제바칼로레아 교육과정의 핵심요소를 접목해 IB 프로그램을 운영하지 않는 학교 학생들도 IB 학습을 직접 체험할 수 있도록 기획된 사업이다.
프로그램은 IB교육의 핵심요소 체험, 지속가능발전목표 기반 탐구학습, 사고 가시화 전략 활용, 미니 전시회를 통한 성찰과 공유로 구성됐다.
마지막 회차에서는 학생들이 탐구 결과물과 학습 과정을 공유하는 미니 전시회가 열렸다.
학생들은 전시를 통해 자신이 느낀 성장과 배움을 스스로 정리하며 프로그램을 마무리했다.
전선아 교육장은 IB 철학을 지역 학생들에게 확산하고 탐구 중심 학습 문화를 지역 교육 현장에 안착시키기 위해 적극 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.

The Paju Office of Education announced that the "Curious Global Citizen School" IBEP program successfully concluded on November 19th.
The program ran for a total of 14 sessions, seven sessions held every Wednesday from October 1st to November 19th at Payang Elementary School.
Fifteen students from grades 4th to 6th in Paju participated and experienced inquiry-based learning from an international perspective.

Superintendent Jeon Seon-ah stated her commitment to actively supporting the spread of the IB philosophy to local students and the establishment of an inquiry-based learning culture in local educational settings.
