교양융합교육원(원장 정효원)은 지난 20일 열린 특강에 류완하 총장을 연사로 초청해 ‘미술에 나타난 창의성’을 주제로 특별 강연을 진행했다.
이날 강연에서 류 총장은 “창의성은 미래 시대를 이끌어 갈 핵심 자산이며, 바로 여러분이 그 변화의 중심”이라고 강조했다. 아울러 학생들과의 거리감을 좁히기 위해 대학 점퍼를 입고 무대에 오른 뒤 질의응답 시간을 통해 직접 소통하며 진솔한 대화를 나눴다.
‘글로컬동국명사초청특강’은 사회 각계 전문가들을 초청해 학생들의 창의적·비판적 사고를 확장하고, 전인적 인재 역량을 기르는 것을 목표로 하는 교양 강좌다. 강의를 통해 진로 탐색과 미래 비전 구체화에 실질적인 도움을 주고 있어 학생 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다.
올해 2학기에는 총 438명의 학생이 수강 신청해 높은 인기를 다시 한번 입증했다. 강좌는 매주 목요일 오후 3시, 와이즈캠퍼스 백주년기념관 와이즈홀에서 진행 중이다.
정효원 교양융합교육원장은 “지난해 2학기 처음 개설된 이 특강이 올해도 438명의 학생이 신청할 만큼 좋은 반응을 이어가고 있다”며 “대규모 교양 특강은 단순한 강연을 넘어 학생들이 자신의 잠재력을 발견하고 미래의 꿈을 설계하는 성장형 교양 플랫폼으로 자리매김할 것”이라고 말했다.
정 원장은 이어 “앞으로도 글로컬 역량을 갖춘 창의적 인재를 양성하기 위해 특강을 지속 확대할 계획”이라고 덧붙였다.

The Institute for Convergence Education (Director Jeong Hyo-won) invited President Ryu Wan-ha to deliver a special lecture on "Creativity in Art" on the 20th.
During the lecture, President Ryu emphasized, "Creativity is a key asset that will lead the future, and you are at the center of that change." To bridge the gap with the students, he wore a university jacket on stage and engaged in a direct, candid Q&A session.
The "Glocal Dongguk Celebrity Invitational Lecture" is a liberal arts course that invites experts from various fields of society to expand students' creative and critical thinking and cultivate well-rounded talent. The lectures provide practical assistance in career exploration and concretizing future vision, leading to a steady increase in student demand.
This year, a total of 438 students enrolled in the course for the second semester, once again demonstrating its popularity. The lectures are held every Thursday at 3:00 PM in the Wise Hall in the Centennial Memorial Hall of Wise Campus.
Jeong Hyo-won, Director of the Center for Convergence Education, stated, "This special lecture, which was first offered in the second semester last year, has continued to receive positive responses, with 438 students registering this year. This large-scale liberal arts special lecture will go beyond mere lectures and establish itself as a growth-oriented liberal arts platform where students can discover their potential and plan their future dreams."
Director Jeong added, "We plan to continue expanding the special lecture program to cultivate creative talent with glocal capabilities."
