고양특례시가 27일 킨텍스에서 '2025 고양 인쇄인의 날' 행사를 열고 지역 인쇄산업의 기술력과 협업 성과를 공유하는 자리를 마련했다.
이날 행사에는 이동환 고양특례시장을 비롯해 경기테크노파크 관계자, 인쇄·출판 기업인 등 약 100여 명이 참석했다.

'2025 인쇄기술경진대회' 시상식과 수상작품 전시회도 함께 진행돼 참석자들이 지역 인쇄산업의 기술 수준과 창의적 역량을 직접 확인할 수 있었다.
고양시는 지난해 경기북부 최초로 벤처기업육성촉진지구로 지정된 이후 채 1년도 되지 않아 벤처기업 수가 약 16% 증가하고 1천여 개의 새로운 일자리를 창출하는 성과를 거뒀다.
현재 첨단산업의 핵심 거점으로 조성 중인 일산테크노밸리는 한창 공사가 진행 중이며, 지난 10월 말부터 본격적인 분양을 시작했다.
우수한 교통 환경과 풍부한 인재, 정주 여건을 기반으로 경제자유구역 최종 지정도 내년 상반기를 목표로 순조롭게 추진되고 있다.

이동환 고양특례시장은 인사말을 통해 "인쇄산업은 지역 경제의 중요한 기반이자 문화·예술·기술이 결합된 창의 산업으로 주목받고 있다"며 "고양인쇄문화허브센터를 중심으로 기업 간 협업과 기술 교류가 활발히 이루어지고 있다"고 강조했다.
이어 "앞으로도 고양시는 인쇄업계를 위한 실질적 지원책을 마련해 고양경제자유구역과 연계한 IT·디자인 산업과 인쇄산업의 동반 성장을 적극 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편 장항동 인쇄 집적지구 내에 조성된 고양인쇄문화허브센터는 소공인 공동기반시설로, 2022년 개소 이후 기업 간 교류와 기술협력 지원을 통해 지역 인쇄산업의 경쟁력 강화를 이끌어오고 있다.
