재단법인 고양국제박람회재단은 지난 2일, 고양시민 150여 명이 참여한 ‘메리 플라워, 땡큐 고양’ 행사를 성황리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

한국화훼농협이 주최하고 재단이 후원한 이번 행사는 다가오는 겨울을 꽃과 빛으로 따뜻하게 물들이며 시민들에게 특별한 체험을 제공하고, 내년 열릴 ‘2026고양국제꽃박람회’에 대한 관심과 기대를 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
참가자들은 아라우카리아를 활용한 미니 트리 만들기, 소망 플라워 엽서 쓰기 프로그램에 참여했고, 행사장 한편에서는 겨울꽃 미니 마켓과 꽃차 시음 체험이 펼쳐져 시민들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
한 시민은 “아이들과 함께 트리를 만들며 특별한 겨울 추억을 쌓았고, 겨울꽃을 저렴하게 구입할 수 있어 만족스럽다”고 소감을 전했다.
행사 마지막에는 2026고양국제꽃박람회의 성공을 기원하는 점등식이 진행됐으며 이동환 고양특례시장, 유석룡 한국화훼농협 조합장, 오영석 NH농협은행 고양시지부장, 권지선 고양시 농업기술센터소장, 이승국 고양시화훼연합회장 등이 참석한 가운데, 내빈과 시민들이 함께 사계테마정원의 조명을 밝히며 박람회의 성공과 고양시의 발전을 기원했다.
