【브레이크뉴스 울릉】전종환 기자=울릉군은 지난 3일 졸업식을 끝으로 2025년 경북도민행복대학 울릉캠퍼스의 교육 일정을 마무리했다고 4일 밝혔다. 올해 처음 신설된 캠퍼스는 지역 주민의 평생학습 기회를 확대하기 위해 16명의 학습자를 모집했고, 10개월에 걸친 교육과정을 거쳐 12명의 졸업생을 배출했다.
이번 학기에는 한동대, 영남대 등 지역 대학 교수진뿐 아니라 기술명장, 변호사 등 각 분야의 전문가들을 초청해 미래학, 문화예술, 인문학 등을 아우르는 다양한 강의가 매주 진행됐다. 지리적 여건으로 다양하고 수준 높은 교육 기회에 접근하기 어려웠던 주민들에게 실력 있는 강좌를 직접 들을 수 있는 귀한 기회가 됐다는 평가다.
졸업생들은 새로운 지식 습득과 지역 주민 간 교류 확대 등 학습의 가치를 높이 평가했고 지역사회 문화향유의 폭이 크게 넓어졌다고 입을 모았다. 한편 남한권 울릉군수는 “경북도민대학 울릉캠퍼스는 2026년에도 운영될 예정이며, 주민들의 수요를 반영해 더 유익한 커리큘럼을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.
