고양특례시가 침체된 지역건설산업 살리기에 본격 나섰다.
민관 협력을 강화하고 관내 업체의 실질적 참여 확대를 위한 구체적 방안을 마련하는 데 행정력을 집중하고 있다.
시는 지난 15일 일산서구청 대회의실에서 '2025년 하반기 고양시 지역건설산업 활성화추진위원회 회의'를 개최했다고 16일 밝혔다.

이번 회의는 올해 4월에 이어 두 번째로 열린 것으로, 이정화 제2부시장이 위원장을 맡아 진행했다.
시 관련 부서와 한국토지주택공사, 경기주택도시공사, 고양도시관리공사 등 유관기관 관계자들이 참석했다.
회의는 상반기 회의 결과 보고를 시작으로 2025년 추진현황 및 2026년 추진계획 보고, 자유토의 순으로 진행됐다.
참석자들은 최근 건설경기 침체와 원가 상승, 수주 물량 감소 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역건설업계의 위기 상황을 공유했다.
특히 공공·민간 건설공사 전반에서 지역업체의 실질적 참여가 확대될 수 있도록 시의 적극적인 지원이 필요하다는 데 의견을 모았다.
시는 그동안 지역건설업계와의 소통을 강화해 왔다.
지난 7월에는 대한전문건설협회 경기도회 고양시운영위원회와 면담을 갖고 업계의 건의사항을 청취했으며, 이를 바탕으로 전문건설업체 상생 방안을 수립해 전 부서에 시달했다.

또한 경쟁력 있는 관내업체의 참여 확대를 위해 연간단가공사의 관내 업체 참여 비중을 점검하고, 타 시·군과의 비교·분석을 통해 개선 방안을 사업 부서별로 검토하도록 했다.
민간 건설현장에도 고양시민 우선고용, 관내 건설업체 및 건설장비 우선 사용을 지속적으로 권고하며 지역 상생을 유도하고 있다.
시 관계자는 "지역건설산업은 지역경제와 일자리 창출의 핵심 축"이라며 "공공과 민간을 아우르는 실효성 있는 정책을 통해 관내 건설업체가 체감할 수 있는 변화가 이루어지도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
시는 2026년에도 대형건설사와의 소통을 강화하는 한편 지역건설산업 활성화 추진위원회 운영과 유공자 표창을 통해 지속 가능한 성장과 지역 상생 분위기를 확산해 나갈 방침이다.
