일본의 망언과 독도 침탈 야욕이 거세지는 가운데 사단법인 영토지킴이 독도사랑회가 2025년 한 해를 결산하는 제12회 대한민국 독도홍보대상 시상식을 17일 고양시 한양문고 데미안 문화홀에서 개최했다.

이번 행사는 영토지킴이 독도사랑회가 주최하고 문화체육관광부, 경상북도, 경상북도교육청, 경기도교육청, 울릉군, 대한민국독도연대회의, 선순환경제연구소가 후원했으며 아성다이소, 세무법인 대길, 태양기술개발 등은 협력 지원으로 힘을 보탰다.
시상식에는 독도는 우리땅 가수 정광태 교수를 비롯해 길종성 중앙회장, 강석주·홍두표·김능희 부회장과 회원 및 수상자 가족들이 참석했다.
정문식 국민의힘 고양정 당협위원장, 김완규 경기도의원, 고양시의회 이철조·김희섭·김수진 의원 등 140여 명의 독도 수호 관계자들이 자리를 함께했다.
윤소영 부산광역시 대외협력위원장과 가수 유도현의 사회로 진행된 식전 행사에서는 팝아티스트 이권희의 피아노 공연, 고양시 올뮤직 앙상블팀의 색소폰 연주, 조우현의 춤과 노래가 펼쳐지며 분위기를 고조시켰다.
또 시상식에 앞서 김능희 부회장에 대한 위촉장 수여와 가수 강훈의 독도홍보대사 위촉식도 진행됐다.
영예의 독도홍보대상인 문화체육관광부장관상은 케이원에코텍 김종학 대표이사가 수상했으며 경상북도지사상은 하애 김성훈 대표와 동국대학교 wise캠퍼스 권현준 학생이 차지했다.
올해 신설된 제1호 독도사랑 최우수지자체에는 의왕시가 선정됐다.
청소년 부문에서는 아세즈스타가 경기도교육감 단체상을, 망포중학교 강지우 양과 서라벌여자중학교 고다은 양이 경상북도교육감 개인상을 받았다.
울릉군수가 수여하는 독도평화상은 우리애요양원 김종열 원장, 의왕시지회 전용복지 회장, 박경열 청년위원장, 아세즈와우 청년봉사단이 수상했다.
독도수호 특별상에는 김완규 경기도의원과 박신철 독도사랑국민연대 대표가 이름을 올렸으며, 경기도의회 의장상은 이권희와 김준서 학생이 받았다.
이 밖에도 최정순 김포시 사할린동포회장, 박광길 화성특례시지회장 등이 영토수호 공로를 인정받아 수상의 기쁨을 안았다.
축하공연에 참여한 가수 풍금, 강훈, 신성은, 조우현은 홍보대사 위촉패와 함께 김민전 국회의원이 수여하는 독도수호특별상을 받았으며 2부 행사에서는 가수 정광태 교수의 진행 아래 인기가수들의 화려한 공연이 이어졌다.
길종성 중앙회장은 독도수호는 지역과 정당을 초월해 지켜야 하는 소중한 가치라며 참석자들에게 감사를 전했다.
정문식 위원장은 2005년 울릉도-독도 수영종단 인연을 언급하며 독도 단체 지원 방안을 모색하겠다고 밝혔다.
