군포시는 한국환경공단의 ‘악취기술진단 완료시설 운영관리 평가’에서 군포 대야 물말끔터(공공하수처리시설)가 최우수기관에 선정 최우수상을 받았다고 17일 밝혔다.
환경부 산하 한국환경공단은 하수·폐수·분뇨·음식물류 처리시설 등 환경기초시설을 대상으로 악취방지법에 따라 5년마다 기술진단을 시행하고 있다. 기술진단 완료 시설을 4개 그룹으로 구분하여 ▲악취저감 성과 ▲사후관리 실적 ▲현장 개선 노력 등을 종합 평가해 우수 시설을 선정·포상하고 있다.
전국 161개 공공환경시설 중 Ⅱ그룹(하·폐수처리시설) 71개소를 대상으로 한 운영관리 평가에서, 군포 대야 물말끔터 공공하수처리시설이 최우수 시설로 선정됐다.
대야 물말끔터는 전 처리시설의 각 단위 공정별 악취 발생원에 국소포집설비를 설치하고, 공간 내 악취를 효과적으로 제거하기 위한 공간포집설비(후드)를 운영하는 등 악취관리 체계를 강화해 높은 평가를 받았다.
모든 단위 발생원 상부를 밀폐 덮개로 설치해 관리 상태가 우수하며, 타 시설에서 관리가 미흡한 경우가 많은 협잡물 박스에도 별도의 포집설비를 설치해 악취저감 효과를 극대화했다. 또한 전 처리시설 바닥을 주기적으로 고압 세척하는 등 청결 유지와 악취 예방을 위한 관리 노력을 꾸준히 지속해 좋은 평가를 얻었다.
