[신년사] 대전광역시장 이장우
존경하고 사랑하는 대전시민 여러분!
희망찬 2026년 새해가 밝았습니다. 병오년(丙午年), 붉은 말의 해입니다. 붉은 말은 불의 기운과 말의 역동성이 만나 거침없는 변화와 도약을 상징합니다.
올 한 해 시민 여러분과 함께
“미래를 선도하는 일류 경제도시 대전,
대한민국 新 중심 도시 충청”을 완성하겠다는 굳은 의지를 말씀드립니다.
시민 여러분과 혼연일체가 되어 대전을 넘어, 충청이 도약하는 위대한 번영의 새 역사를 써 내려가겠습니다.
올해는 대전이 대한민국 중심도시이자 충청권 수부 도시로 거듭나는 한 해가 될 것입니다. 국가 균형 발전과 충청의 번영을 위해 대전이 앞장서서 새 시대를 열어 나가겠습니다.
첫째, 대전이 중심이 되어 모범적인 국가 균형 발전을 선도하겠습니다.
대전과 충남의 통합을 반드시 이뤄 서울시에 버금가는 초광역 특별시로 거듭나겠습니다.
