【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 청소년수련원이 2025년 한 해 동안 청소년의 건강한 성장과 공동체 의식 함양을 위한 다양한 수련 프로그램을 운영하며, ‘재미와 안전’을 동시에 갖춘 모범적인 청소년 수련시설로 주목받고 있다.
군 청소년수련원은 초평면 평화로 403-132에 소재해 있으며, 1995년 개원 이후 청소년의 심신 단련과 건전한 가치관·정서 함양을 위한 대표적인 체험형 수련 공간으로 운영되고 있다.
현재는 군 교육청소년과 청소년수련원팀이 직영하고 있으며, 초·중·고 학생 수련 활동은 물론 각종 기관·단체 연수 장소로 폭넓게 활용되고 있다.
수련원은 생활관 39실을 비롯해 소·중·대회의실, 147석 규모의 급식실, 모험시설, 수상 활동장, 운동장 등 다양한 시설을 갖추고 있으며, 연간 평균 4만 명(연인원) 이상의 학생과 일반인이 이용하고 있다.
특히, 2025년에는 4만 2천여 명이 수련원을 찾았으며, 2026년에는 4만 5천 명 이상의 수련생 유치가 가능할 것으로 전망된다.
수련원은 모험·협동·환경·안전·자기 개발 등 5대 분야를 중심으로 총 35개의 테마별 프로그램과 29개의 국가인증프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

2025년에는 3개의 신규 국가인증프로그램을 개발·운영했으며, 타 수련원과 차별화된 콘텐츠 개발과 인증획득·보급에도 지속적으로 힘썼다.
또한, 안전한 수련환경 조성을 위해 전 직원 안전교육 이수율 100%를 달성하고, 응급상황 대응 훈련 정례화와 시설 안전 점검을 강화한 결과, 2025년 한 해 동안 단 한 건의 안전사고도 발생하지 않는 성과를 거뒀다.
