의정부시, 취약계층 아동 위한 ‘한 그릇 드림(dream)’ 시동

<브레이크뉴스 의정부=이용하 기자> 의정부시가 겨울철 식사 준비에 어려움을 겪는 취약계층 아동들을 위해 따뜻한 나눔의 손길을 내밀었다. 군은 드림스타트 아동 가정의 건강한 성장을 돕기 위한 ‘한 그릇 드림’ 사업을 오는 2월까지 추진한다고 13일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 영양 보충이 절실한 아동 100가구를 대상으로 진행된다. 특히 이번 나눔은 관내 한식당인 ‘아국오국’의 통 큰 후원으로 성사됐다. 아국오국 측은 지난 12일 기탁식을 갖고, 아이들의 입맛과 영양을 고려해 8종의 국으로 알차게 구성된 국 세트 100개를 기부했다.

후원된 물품은 단순히 배달되는 것에 그치지 않고, 담당 아동 사례관리사들이 각 가정을 직접 방문해 전달할 예정이다. 이 과정에서 아이들의 안부를 살피는 것은 물론, 올바른 식습관 형성을 위한 영양 교육도 함께 진행해 사업의 실효성을 높일 계획이다.

아국오국 대표는 기탁식에서 “아이들은 우리 사회의 미래이자 희망”이라며 “작은 정성이지만 아이들이 따뜻한 국 한 그릇을 먹고 건강하게 겨울을 났으면 좋겠다. 앞으로도 지역사회를 위한 나눔 활동에 꾸준히 참여하겠다”고 전했다.

의정부시 관계자는 “경기가 어려운 상황에서도 아동들을 위해 온정을 나눠준 아국오국에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며 “취약계층 아동들이 소외되지 않고 건강하게 성장할 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위해 앞으로도 다양한 맞춤형 복지 서비스를 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
