이번 간담회는 시민들과 직접 만나 문경새재 케이블카 조성사업을 비롯한 주요 사업 추진 현황과 시정 운영 방향을 공유하고, 지역 현안과 생활 속 불편 사항을 폭넓게 청취하기 위해 마련됐다.
간담회 자리에서는 주민숙원사업을 포함해 도로·교통, 환경정비, 농업, 관광 활성화, 복지·안전 분야 등 지역 실정과 밀접한 다양한 건의 사항이 제시됐다. 특히 일상생활과 직결된 소규모 개선 요청부터 중·장기적인 지역 발전을 위한 정책 제안까지 폭넓은 의견이 논의되며 시민들의 높은 참여와 관심을 이끌어냈다.
