"다당제, 다민족 사회로써 공산당이나 공산주의는 있을 수 있다. 그러나 그들이 주류된다는 것은 분명 그 나라의 사회가 건강하지 않다는 것을 뜻한다."
그렇다. 공산주의나, 사회주의 사상을 갖는 자들는 있을 수 있다. 그리고 그런 자들, 그런 생각을 하는 자들도 사회의 일원이 되어 살아갈 수 있다. 이들이 사회의 주류만 되지 않는다면 다양성을견지하는 측면에서 분명 그럴 수 있다. 인류가 존속하는 한, 사회주의나 공산주의는 영원히 없어지진 않는다. 누구나 평등을 누리는 사회는 모두가 바라는 이상성을 가지고 있기 때문에 그 유혹은 쉽게 떨쳐내기 힘들다. 그런 맥락에서 이상적인 이데올로기인 사회주의나 공산주의는 영원히 사라지기는 어렵다. 다만 그들이 주류가 아닌 소수의 인원으로써 이 사회에 남아 있는다는 전제 하에서 그런 사회는 진정한 자유 민주주의 사회이다. 어차피 인류가 살아있는 한, 완전히 없어지지는 않으니 소수로 남거나 음지에 남아있는다면야 문제가 없다.
그러나 이들이 주류가 됐을 때는 심각한 문제가 된다. 극심한 빈부격차, 너무도 극명한 사회적 양극화, 상류계층들의 과도한 수탈, 불균등한 기회 조건 등은 공산주의나 좌익사회가 서식할 수 있는 최적의 자양분들을 제공한다. 좌익분자들이나 좌경화된 사회로 변화되는 이면을 보면 분명 그 사회가 건강하지 못하다는 것을 알 수 있다. 모든 좌경화된 국가, 공산주의 국가들은 그 이전의 국가들이 워낙 병폐가 심했기 때문에 필연적으로 탄생할 수밖에 없었다. 공산주의, 공산당이 주류가 될 수 있었던 것은 전임정권이 문제였던 것이 90% 이상이다. 소련도 러시아 로마노프 제국의 각종 부조리와 농노, 노동자들의 권리 제한, 그로 인한 귀족과 서민의 엄청난 빈부격차, 서민들이 중앙 관리나 정교회의 수도사가 될 수 없었던, 입신양명 할 수 있는 기회가 전혀 주어지지 않았고 그로 인해 서민과 농노, 노동자들의 불만이 쇄도했으며 차르 정부의 수탈은 결국, 러시아 시민들의 극심한 빈곤으로 이어졌다. 그러면서 나타난 사회적 양극화는 결국 러시아 혁명을 불러왔다.
중공 또한, 이민족인 만주족 청나라가 중원 민족이라 자부하는 한족을 지 배하고 지배층이 되어 한족을 수탈했다. 황제는 부정축재에 심혈을 기울여 자신들의 재산을 축적했고 그러한 상황에서 일반 중국인들과 만주족 귀족 간의 빈부격차는 상상을 초월했다. 게다가 서민들은 아예 과거조차 볼 수도 없었고 아무리 뛰어나다고 한들, 재산이 없으면 말직조차 얻지도 못했다. 그리고 서양열강들의 수탈이 극에 달하게 되었으며 이들을 지배층인 만주족 정권조차도 막지 못하는 무능한 정부가 되다보니 백성들의 불만은 쌓여만 갔다. 그리하여 생긴 사회적 양극화가 최악에 이르러 마침내 신해혁명을 불러오고 청나라는 멸망했다. 이후 중원은 각종 군벌들이 난립하는 혼돈의 시기에 들어갔고 그 와중에서 고통받는건 오로지 백성들이었다. 그러면서 일본의 침략까지도 이어지니 소련에서 유입된 공산주의 사상에 감화를 받게 되었고 결국 중국 공산당은 그 세력을 키워 중국 국민당을 몰아내고 공산화시켜 오늘날의 중공이 되었다.
북한도, 조선 양반들의 수탈, 일제 시대를 겪으며 그 불만이 크게 달했다. 특히 조선 말기, 위정자들의 수탈은 세도정치에서 끝나지 않았다. 민씨 일가의 도 넘은 수탈 등으로 인해 백성들은 끊임없이 압록강과 두만강을 넘어 정부의 손이 닿지 않는 곳에서 척박한 땅을 갈아 농사 짓고 비교적 자유롭게 살았지만 마적떼들에게 수탈당하고 일본이 무주공산이나 다름없는 만주와 연해주마저 넘보자 사회 부조리 함에 불만을 느낀 식자층들과, 평민 독립운동가들이 소련으로 건너가 이르쿠츠크, 모스크바 코민테른 등에 참여하며 공산주의를 접했고 모든 백성의 평등함과 부의 분배, 그리고 그로 인한 차별이 없도록 모두가 평등한 세상 등에 감화를 받아 내내 수탈만 당해온 헐벗고 굶주림에 지친 백성들에게 설파하니 오히려 이러한 환상적인 공산주의의 사상은 더 빨리 먹혀 들어갔다. 결국 그런 상태에서 우리가 광복을 맞이했고 남북이 갈리며 6.25 전쟁을 치뤘다. 결국 북한은 공산주의 국가가 되었고 남북이 갈린 상태에서 매년 매해 불안한 정국과 안보 상황을 마주하고 있다.
대표적으로 러시아, 중국, 한국을 예시들 들었지만 이들 외에도 동구권, 동남아시아, 아프리카, 중남미 등으로 공산주의가 확대되었다. 이들의 역사를 세부적으로 확대해서 보면 공산주의 국가가 되거나 사회가 된 배경에는 분명 건강하지 않은 모습을 가지고 있었다. 공산주의와 사회주의는 찌들어 있는 전임 정권 및 사회의 부조리함을 먹고 자랐으며 이 국가들의 결함들이 한데 뭉쳐 더 큰 프롤레타리아 혁명이라는 대폭발을 야기했다. 결국, 이러한 공산주의가 주류가 된 근본적인 원인은 바로 전임 국가과 전임 사회에서 나타난 각종 부조리함, 심각한 지표를 드러내는 사회적 문제성, 결코 건전할 수 없고 국민들을 벼랑 끝까지 몰고 간 악질적인 시스템 등이 종합적으로 파생된 결과다. 공산주의를 비롯한 온갖 반사회적 이데올로기들은 그러한 사회의 부조리와 병폐를 양식 삼아 먹고 자란다. 정치와 정권이 정의에 모순되어지고 사회적 양극화의 심화와 더불어 끊임없는 사회적 병폐를 키운다면 굳이 공산주의가 아니더라도 또 다른 반사회적 이데올로기가 탄생해 지금 누리고 있는 모든 것들을 먹어 치울 것이다.
정치가 안정되지 못하고 각종 부정부패와 비리, 사회적 양극화 및 그 병폐들을 키우면 사람의 몸에 생기는 병증의 이상신호처럼 끊임없이 사회 내에서 이상신호가 올 것이고 이러한 부분들이 끊임없이 감지될 것이다. 역대 역사가 그것들을 증명하고 있고 이를 정치권이든 국민들이든 감지하지 못한다면 결국 역사의 비극은 되풀이 될 것이다. 시대가 빠르게 변한만큼 사회주의나 공산주의, 기타 반사회적 이데올로기들은 끝없이 진화하고 더욱 교묘해질 것이며 변형 사회주의, 혹은 변형 이데올로기들은 끊임없이 진화해 거기에 맞춰 사회적 기생충으로 자랄 것이다. 지금은 보수 어르신들이 멸공! 외치는 시대는 이미 지났다. 그들도 진화하고 수법이 교묘해지며 그 이론도 사회적 병폐에 맞물려 발전된다는 것을 왜 모르는가? 변화에 적응하지 못하면 도태되는 것은 당연한 것이고 결국 무감각해질 것이며 그러는 사이에 서서히 잠식되어질 것이다.

As long as they don't become the mainstream, this is certainly possible in terms of preserving diversity. As long as humanity exists, socialism and communism will never disappear. A society where everyone enjoys equality embodies the ideal desired by all, and its allure is difficult to shake off. In this context, idealistic ideologies like socialism and communism are unlikely to disappear forever. However, assuming they remain as a minority, not a mainstream, such a society is a truly liberal democracy. Since they will never completely disappear as long as humanity exists, there is no problem as long as they remain as a minority or in the shadows.
However, when these become mainstream, they become serious problems. The extreme gap between rich and poor, the stark social polarization, the excessive exploitation of the upper classes, and the unequal conditions of opportunity provide the optimal breeding ground for communism and leftist societies. The flip side of leftists and the shift toward a leftist society clearly reveals that the society is unhealthy. All leftist and communist countries were inevitably born from the severe ills of their predecessors. More than 90% of the reasons communism and the communist party became mainstream were due to the problems of the previous regime. The Soviet Union, too, was plagued by the various absurdities of the Romanov Empire, including serfdom and the restrictions on workers' rights, the resulting enormous gap between the nobility and the common people, and the inability of common people to become central officials or Orthodox monks, resulting in no opportunities for social advancement. If politics and regimes contradict justice, deepen social polarization, and perpetuate social ills, another anti-social ideology, even if not communism, will emerge and consume everything we enjoy.
If politics is unstable and corruption, irregularities, social polarization, and other ills are fostered, abnormal signals will constantly appear within society, just as the human body signals abnormal symptoms, and these will be constantly detected. History proves this, and if neither the political world nor the public perceives it, historical tragedies will eventually repeat themselves. As times change rapidly, socialism, communism, and other anti-social ideologies will constantly evolve and become more sophisticated. Modified socialism, or modified ideologies, will constantly evolve and grow into social parasites. The days of conservative elders shouting "Destroy Communism!" are over.
