대구대는 신입생을 포함한 전교생과 교직원이 활용할 수 있는 ‘클라우드 기반 AI 토큰 관리 통합 플랫폼’ 구축 사업을 추진하며, 미래형 인재 양성을 위한 AI 교육 인프라의 대전환에 나선다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 대구대 SW중심대학사업단이 주관하며, 학생들이 개인적으로 매달 수만 원의 구독료를 지불해야 이용할 수 있었던 고성능 생성형 AI 모델을 학교 시스템 내에서 무료로 제공하는 것이 핵심이다.
플랫폼에는 GPT-5를 비롯해 구글의 제미나이(Gemini), 앤스로픽의 클로드(Claude) 등 전 세계적으로 널리 활용되는 최신 생성형 AI 모델 6종이 탑재되며, 향후 지속적으로 모델을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
학생들은 과제 작성과 프로그래밍, 콘텐츠 기획, 이미지 생성 등 학습 목적에 따라 가장 적합한 AI 모델을 선택해 자유롭게 활용할 수 있다.
해당 플랫폼은 교내 통합인증(SSO) 시스템과 연동돼 별도의 회원가입 절차 없이 학번 로그인만으로 즉시 이용 가능하다. 특히 학교 시스템에 익숙하지 않은 신입생도 손쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 직관적인 통합 대시보드를 제공해, 입학과 동시에 AI를 일상적인 학습 도구로 활용할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
또한 대구대는 플랫폼의 효율적 운영을 위해 ‘토큰(Token) 기반 관리 시스템’을 도입했다. 학생 개개인의 전공과 수강 과목에 따라 토큰이 자동 배정되며, 수업이나 비교과 프로그램 종료 시 토큰이 회수되는 방식이다.
이를 통해 학생들은 전공 수업은 물론 팀 프로젝트, 캡스톤디자인, 창업 활동 등 다양한 교육 과정에서 생성형 AI를 실습 도구로 직접 활용하게 된다.
대구대는 이번 플랫폼 구축을 통해 학생들의 경제적 부담을 줄이는 동시에, 급변하는 산업 현장에서 요구되는 ‘AI 활용 실무 역량’을 체계적으로 강화할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

The platform includes six of the world's most widely used generative AI models, including GPT-5, Google's Gemini, and Anthropic's Claude, with plans to continuously expand the model offering.
Students can freely select and utilize the most appropriate AI model for their learning objectives, including assignment writing, programming, content planning, and image creation.
The platform is linked to the university's single sign-on (SSO) system, eliminating the need for separate registration and allowing immediate access with just a student ID. The platform offers an intuitive, integrated dashboard for easy access, even for new students unfamiliar with the university system. It is designed to facilitate the use of AI as a daily learning tool from the moment they enroll.
Furthermore, Daegu University has implemented a token-based management system to efficiently operate the platform. Tokens are automatically assigned to each student based on their major and course enrollment, and are collected upon completion of classes or extracurricular activities.
This system allows students to directly utilize generative AI as a practical tool in a variety of educational courses, including team projects, capstone design, and entrepreneurship.
Daegu University expects that this platform will reduce the financial burden on students while systematically strengthening the "practical AI capabilities" required in rapidly changing industries.
