[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 미래 가치가 있는 무명의 춘란을 선발하는 제7회 한국춘란 무명품 전국대회가 21~22일 양일간 합천다목적체육관에서 열렸다.
합천군이 주최하고 합천난연합회가 주관한 이번 행사에 총 530여점이 출품되면서 국내 유일의 춘란 무명품 대회의 입지를 다졌다.
출품작 가운데 1등상인 영예의 대상은 산반을 출품한 경기 화성시 류지호씨가 차지했다.
2등상인 특별대상은 고광환씨(홍화), 안병국씨(중투호)가, 3등상인 최우수상은 김유봉씨(단엽), 최상기씨(주금화)가 각각 수상하는 등 총 68점의 수상작을 배출했다.
심재상 심사위원장은 심사평을 통해 “해를 거듭할수록 춘란 무명품의 수준이 높아지고 있다”며 “특히 올해는 더욱 고품질의 춘란이 출품되면서 27명의 심사위원 모두가 공정하고 엄정한 심사를 위해 고심을 했다”고 밝혔다.
이번 대회에서는 합천춘란 홍보부스를 비롯, 춘란 식재 체험부스, 지역 도자기 공예, 문인화 난초 부스등의 부대 체험시설도 준비되어 참석한 내외빈 및 관람객들의 관심을 끌었다.
대회장인 김윤철 군수는 대회사를 통해 “본 행사는 2019년을 시작으로 일곱번째 개최이며, 전국 유일의 춘란 무명품이 전시되는 고유 행사로 자리매김하고 있으며, 합천춘란의 우수성도 함께 홍보할수 있는 뜻 깊은 자리였다”고 전했다.

The 7th Korean Cymbidium Unknown Competition, which selects unknown Cymbidiums with future potential, was held at the Hapcheon Multipurpose Gymnasium on the 21st and 22nd.
Hosted by Hapcheon County and organized by the Hapcheon Orchid Association, the event attracted over 530 entries, solidifying its position as Korea's only Cymbidium Unknown Competition.
The first prize, the prestigious Grand Prize, went to Mr. Ryu Ji-ho of Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, for his "Sanban" (Cymbidium spp.).
Second-place Special Prizes went to Mr. Go Gwang-hwan (Honghwa) and Mr. Ahn Byeong-guk (Jungtuho). Third-place Grand Prizes went to Mr. Kim Yu-bong (Sandyeop) and Mr. Choi Sang-gi (Jugeumhwa). A total of 68 award-winning entries were presented.
In his comments, judge Shim Jae-sang stated, "The quality of unbranded Chunlan (Cyclone orchids) is improving year after year. This year, especially with the high-quality Chunlans being submitted, all 27 judges worked hard to ensure a fair and rigorous judging process."
This year's competition also featured a promotional booth for Hapcheon Chunlan, a booth for experiencing Chunlan planting, local ceramic crafts, and a booth for orchids with literati paintings, attracting the attention of both domestic and foreign guests and visitors.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Kim Yun-cheol, the competition's chairman, stated, "This event marks its seventh year, beginning in 2019. It has established itself as the only unique event in the country showcasing unbranded Chunlans. It was a meaningful opportunity to promote the excellence of Hapcheon Chunlan."
