경기도의회 교육행정위원회 소속 김영기 의원(국민의힘, 의왕1)이 3월 개교를 앞둔 백운호수중학교 현장을 찾아 적기 개교를 위한 최종 점검에 나섰다.
김 의원은 지난 2월 20일 의왕군포교육지원청 교육장, 의왕시청 및 시공사 관계자 등 20여 명과 함께 학교를 방문해 시설 공정 마무리 상황과 학사 운영 준비 현황을 종합적으로 확인했다. 이번 점검은 24일 예정된 준공식을 앞두고, 실제 수업이 시작되는 3월 개교 시점에 맞춰 안전성과 현장 완성도를 최종 점검하기 위해 마련됐다.

현장에서는 기존 초등학교와 통합 운영되는 학교 특성상 행정실 직원과 보건교사 등 인력 충원이 필요하다는 의견도 제기됐다. 이에 대해 김 의원은 “통합운영학교의 안정적 관리와 학생 안전·보건을 위해 필수 인력 보강이 요구된다”며 경기도교육청 및 관계 부서와 협의해 현실적인 배치 방안을 마련하겠다고 밝혔다.
