창원상공회의소, 2026년도 정기의원총회 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원상공회의소는 지난 24일 리베라컨벤션에서 의원 87명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년도 정기의원총회’를 열고, 지역 경제의 체질 개선을 위한 전방위적 로드맵을 확정했다고 25일 밝혔다.

창원상의는 경남·경북·전남·전북 등 4개 권역을 하나로 묶어 법인세·근로소득세·상속세의 비수도권 차등 적용이라는 파격적인 정책을 정치권에 관철해 왔다. 전문 용역을 통해 논리적 근거를 마련한 창원상의는 지난 2월 구자근·허성무 의원의 관련 법안 공동대표 발의를 끌어내는 결실을 맺었다. 

상의는 올해 상반기 중 국회 본회의 통과를 목표로 '입법 드라이브'에 모든 역량을 집중한다는 방침이다. 또한, 마산경제살리기 추진위원회를 통해 마산합포구·회원구의 인구감소지역 지정 촉구를 추진하고, 10억 5천만 원 규모의 지역 상품권 구매 캠페인을 벌이는 등 실물 경제의 모세혈관까지 살피는 행보를 보였다.

지방 제조 기업의 최대 고민인 '구인난'에 대한 해법도 구체화됐다. 창원상의가 운영하는 경남비자지원센터는 이미 118명의 전문 외국인 인력 입국을 지원하며 실효성을 입증했다. 올해는 한국어 교육 및 검증시험 의무화를 통해 기술과 문화를 겸비한 '정주형 전문인력' 확보 체계를 구축할 계획이다.

이날 총회에서는 지역경제 활력 제고를 위해 2025년도에 추진한 주요 사업 성과를 공유하고, 감사보고에 이어 2025년도 결산(안)을 의결했다. 그리고  효성중공업(주) 배용배 부사장, 신성델타테크(주) 정협용 전무, 현대로템(주) 조규출 상무가 신임 상임의원으로 선출되었다.

최재호 회장은 “지난 2025년은 글로벌 수출규제와 고금리 등 어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 회원사 경쟁력 강화와 지역균형 발전을 위해 현장 중심의 사업을 추진했다”고 말하며, “올해에는 지역경제를 흔드는 지방소멸 문제에 맞서 선언이 아닌 ‘실행’의 절박함을 가지고, 비수도권 세제 차등 적용 법제화와 지역 맞춤형 인력 지원 등 기업인들이 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 촘촘한 지원 체계를 구축해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
