국민의힘 대전광역시당은 25일 더불어민주당 대전시당의 대전·충남 행정통합 특별법 보류 관련 규탄 기자회견을 "적반하장"이라며 강하게 비판했다.
국민의힘 대전시당은 논평에서 "대전·충남 행정통합 특별법이 국회 법제사법위원회에서 보류된 것은 민주당의 무리한 졸속 추진과 정치적 계산 때문"이라고 지적했다.
대전 국회의원 7명 전원이 민주당 소속임에도 법안 처리를 스스로 하지 못한 채 국민의힘과 지방자치단체에 책임을 돌리는 것은 "시민 기만"이라는 주장이다.

여론조사에서 통합 반대 의견이 우세하고 주민투표 요구가 높은 상황에서 충분한 논의와 공감대 형성을 요구하는 것은 "상식적인 주장"이라고 밝혔다.
또 일부 민주당 인사들이 통합시장을 노리고 법안을 서두른다는 의혹까지 제기되는 상황에서 졸속 추진은 "대전을 버린 것과 같다"고 꼬집었다.
