그동안 입주민들은 기존 대소면 행정복지센터와의 거리로 인해 전입신고와 각종 제증명 발급, 생활 민원 처리 등 행정서비스 이용에 불편을 겪어왔다.
이에 군은 주민과 기업이 가까운 곳에서 행정서비스를 받을 수 있도록 현장 중심 행정서비스 체계 구축의 일환으로 출장소 설치를 추진해 왔으며, 성본산단 내 상가 건물을 임차해 리모델링을 완료하고 이번에 개소하게 됐다.
이번에 문을 연 성본산업단지 출장소는 115㎡ 규모로 조성됐으며, 1개 팀 3명의 전담 직원이 상주하면서 주민등록·인감 등 제증명 발급과 생활 민원 접수 등 주민 생활과 밀접한 행정서비스를 원스톱으로 제공한다.
출장소에서는 주로 주민 생활과 직결된 기본 행정 업무를 중심으로 운영된다. 주민등록 등·초본 발급, 인감증명서 발급, 전입신고, 확정일자 부여 등 일상생활에 필요한 민원 처리가 가능하다.
이와 함께 아동·보육·노인 복지서비스 신청 접수와 과세·납세증명서 등 지방세 제증명 발급 업무도 지원해 입주민들이 한층 가까운 곳에서 행정서비스를 이용할 수 있게 됐다.

군은 이번 출장소 개소를 통해 입주민들의 행정 접근성을 크게 개선하고, 기업과 근로자 가족들이 지역 사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 지원하는 행정 거점 역할을 수행할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
아울러 군은 향후 성본산단 인구 증가와 행정 수요 확대에 대비해 신축 출장소 건립도 중장기적으로 추진할 계획이다.
이순원 기획행정국장은 “성본산업단지 출장소 개소는 급증하는 행정 수요에 선제적으로 대응하고 주민 불편을 해소하기 위한 현장 행정의 중요한 첫걸음”이라며 “앞으로도 군민이 체감할 수 있는 생활밀착형 행정서비스 제공에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
