【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구청이 제60회 납세자의 날을 맞아 프로야구 선수 구자욱 씨에게 대구광역시장 표창패를 수여했다.

남구청은 19일 "구자욱 선수는 그동안 지방세를 성실하게 납부하고, 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 지역사회 발전에 기여한 점을 인정받아 표창 대상자로 선정됐다"고 밝혔다.

구자욱 선수는 체납 없이 꾸준히 지방세를 납부해 온 모범적인 사례로 꼽힌다. 이에 더해 지역사회에 긍정적인 영향까지 미친 점도 높게 평가됐다.

이번 지방세 유공 납세자 표창은 연간 1천만 원(개인) 또는 5천만 원(법인) 이상의 지방세를 성실히 납부하고 체납이 없는 이들을 대상으로 하고 있다.

선정된 납세자에게는 2년간 세무조사 면제, 1년간 공영주차장 주차요금 면제, 징수유예 시 납세담보 면제 등 다양한 혜택이 주어진다.

조재구 남구청장은 "성실하게 지방세를 납부하고 선한 영향력을 펼쳐준 데 대해 감사의 뜻을 전한다"며 "앞으로도 건전한 납세 문화 확산을 위해 힘쓰겠다"고 말했다.
