【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=제천기적의도서관은 오는 4월부터 6월까지 총 3회차로 구성된 가족 인문 프로그램 ‘우리 가족 그림책 인문 놀이터’를 운영한다.
이번 프로그램은 그림책을 매개로 말과 기다림, 공감이라는 세 가지 주제를 통해 부모와 아이가 정서적 유대를 쌓고 함께 소통하는 즐거움과 따뜻함을 나누기 위해 마련됐다.
강연은 매월 한차례 오후 2시에 진행된다. 4월 18일(토)에는 ‘듣고 싶은 말’의 유진 작가와의 만남이 마련돼 ‘엄마 아빠, 내 마음으로 놀러 오세요’를 주제로 아이에게 건네는 다정한 첫마디의 중요성과 의미를 살펴본다.
5월 30일(토)에는 이순옥 작가의 그림책 ‘엄마 오리 아기 오리’를 통해 앞서가는 부모의 조급함을 내려놓고 아이의 속도에 맞춰 나란히 걷는 소중함을 함께 나눈다.
6월 20일(토)에는 ‘엄마의 어휘력’의 표유진 작가와 함께 아이의 속마음을 세밀하게 살펴보고 정서적 거리를 좁히는 공감의 방법을 알아본다.
도서관 관계자는 “이번 프로그램은 성과 중심의 교육에서 벗어나 부모와 아이가 서로를 있는 그대로 받아들이며 정서적 유대를 쌓는 과정에 집중했다”며 “그림책을 통해 아이의 속도를 존중하고 따뜻하게 공감할 수 있는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

Jecheon Miracle Library to Run ‘Our Family Picture Book Humanities Playground’ Starting April
Jecheon Miracle Library will operate the family humanities program ‘Our Family Picture Book Humanities Playground,’ consisting of a total of three sessions from this coming April to June.
This program is designed to help parents and children build emotional bonds and share the joy and warmth of communicating together through picture books and three themes: words, waiting, and empathy.
Lectures will be held once a month at 2:00 PM. On Saturday, April 18, a meeting with author Eugene of *Words I Want to Hear* will be held. Under the theme ‘Mom and Dad, Come Play in My Heart,’ the program will explore the importance and meaning of the affectionate first words spoken to a child.
On Saturday, May 30, through author Lee Soon-ok’s picture book *Mother Duck and Baby Duck*, the program will share the preciousness of letting go of the impatience of parents rushing ahead and walking side by side at the child’s pace. On Saturday, June 20, join author Pyo Yu-jin of *Mom's Vocabulary* to closely examine a child's inner thoughts and explore methods of empathy to bridge emotional distance.
A library official stated, "This program moves away from performance-oriented education and focuses on the process of parents and children building emotional bonds by accepting each other as they are," adding, "We hope this will be a time to respect a child's pace and empathize warmly through picture books."
