경기도의회 정윤경 부의장(더불어민주당, 군포1)이 학교 체육시설과 유휴 교실의 지역사회 활용 방안을 논의하는 정책토론회를 주재하며 생활체육 공간 확대 필요성을 강조했다.
정윤경 부의장이 지난 3월 16일 경기도의회 대회의실에서 열린 ‘운동장 등 학교 체육시설의 지역사회 활용 방안을 위한 정책토론회’에서 좌장을 맡아 학교시설 개방과 활용 방안을 논의했다.
이번 토론회는 도심 내 생활체육 공간 부족으로 인한 주민 불편을 해소하고, 학교를 지역 공동체 거점으로 활용하기 위한 협력 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다. 행사는 경기도의회와 경기도교육청이 공동 주최하는 ‘2026 경기도 정책토론회’의 일환으로 진행됐다.
이날 토론회에는 김진경 경기도의회 의장, 임태희 경기도교육감, 김동연 경기도지사, 최종현 경기도의회 더불어민주당 대표의원이 축사를 전했다.
좌장을 맡은 정윤경 부의장은 “학교 체육시설은 지역사회의 중요한 생활체육 공간이자 공동체 소통의 거점”이라며 “학생 안전과 교육 환경을 최우선으로 하면서도 학교 부담을 최소화하고, 주민들이 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 운영 방안 마련이 필요하다”고 밝혔다.
주제발표에 나선 안을섭 대림대학교 스포츠재활학과 교수는 학교 운동장과 체육시설 개방 확대와 함께 학생과 주민 모두의 안전을 고려한 체계적인 관리 지침 마련 필요성을 강조했다.

또 심홍숙 군포시 파크골프협회장은 생활체육 수요 증가에 따른 공간 확대 필요성을 언급하며, 학교 유휴 교실을 활용한 스크린 파크골프 연습장 조성 방안을 대안으로 제시했다. 김택천 함께하는스포츠포럼 이사장은 법적·제도적 기반 마련과 공동운영위원회 설치 등 제도 보완 필요성을 강조했다. 이필엽 경기도교육청 재산관리담당 사무관은 지자체 협력 확대와 관리 인력 지원, IoT 기반 무인 개방 등 다양한 운영 모델을 제안했다.
정윤경 부의장은 “학교 체육시설 개방은 생활체육 인프라 확충과 지역사회 활성화를 위한 핵심 과제”라며 “학생 안전과 교육권을 최우선으로 하면서도 관리 인력과 책임 구조, 제도적 기반을 함께 마련해 학교와 지역사회가 상생하는 정책을 추진해야 한다”고 말했다.

Vice Chairperson Jeong Yun-gyeong served as the moderator at the ‘Policy Forum on Local Community Utilization of School Sports Facilities, Including Playgrounds,’ held on March 16 in the main conference room of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, where she discussed the opening and utilization of school facilities.
This forum was organized to resolve resident inconvenience caused by the lack of recreational sports spaces within urban areas and to explore cooperative measures to utilize schools as hubs for local communities.
