<브레이크뉴스 영월 = 김일웅 기자> 영월군이 주민들이 직접 지역 문화 콘텐츠를 기획하고 실행하는 ‘시민 주도형 문화도시’로의 도약을 위해 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.
영월문화관광재단 문화도시센터는 지난 21일 영월통합관광센터 화이통에서 ‘문화도시 영월 거버넌스 시민추진단 발대식’을 성황리에 개최했다고 27일 밝혔다.

이번 발대식은 행정 중심이 아닌 시민이 주체가 되어 문화도시 협력 체계를 구축하고, 지역 주민들이 생활 속에서 직접 문화 활동의 밑그림을 그리는 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다. 현장에는 지역 주민과 관계자들이 대거 참석해 문화도시 영월의 추진 방향을 공유하고 구체적인 향후 계획을 논의했다.

이날 행사에서는 최혜자의 강의를 통해 영월이 법정문화도시로 지정되기까지의 과정과 앞으로 나아가야 할 비전을 공유하며 시민들의 이해를 높였다.
특히 참석자들은 음식문화, 문화콘텐츠, 홍보·미디어 등 관심 분야별로 자율적인 분과 팀을 구성했다. 이들은 각 지역에서 실행 가능한 참신한 문화 프로젝트 아이디어를 나누며 열띤 토론의 장을 펼쳤다.
시민추진단은 앞으로 정기적인 분과 회의를 통해 제안된 아이디어들을 구체화할 계획이다. 오는 6월 라운드테이블을 거쳐 최종 실험 프로젝트를 선정하며, 10월까지 실제 활동을 이어간다. 모든 활동 결과는 11월로 예정된 ‘문화도시 페스타’에서 대중에 공개될 예정이다.
