(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 7일, 오는 2026년 7월로 예정된 검단구 분구에 선제적으로 대응하고, 불법 현수막 난립을 방지하여 쾌적한 도시 경관을 조성하고자 ‘현수막 지정게시대 확충 사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 이번 사업은 깨끗한 거리 조성과 시민 안전을 위해 불법 현수막 게첩을 사전에 차단하고 검단지역 내 부족한 광고 인프라를 확충하기 위해 마련됐다.
서구는 2024년부터 현재까지 검단구 분구에 대비하여 현수막 지정게시대 78기(162면)를 검단지역에 집중 설치했으며, 올해에는 총 1,500만 원의 시비를 투입하여 6기(12면)를 신규 설치할 예정이다.
이에 따라 4월 중 신규 설치를 마무리하고 5월부터는 구민들이 이용할 수 있도록 하여 분구 이후 증가할 광고 수요에 적극 부응할 방침이다.
현재 서구는 총 187기(637면)의 지정게시대를 운영하고 있으며, 이 중 검단 지역은 105기(266면)를 운영 중이다.
서구 관계자는 “이번 사업을 통해 불법 현수막 없는 쾌적하고 안전한 도시 환경을 조성하고 검단구 분구에 발맞춘 체계적인 광고물 관리 시스템을 구축해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
