【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 오는 17일 청소년수련관 별관 강당에서 ‘옥천 이성산성의 역사적 가치’를 주제로 학술대회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 학술대회는 옥천 이성산성의 4차 발굴조사에서 도출된 연구 성과를 공유하고, 유적의 역사적 성격을 재조명하기 위해 마련되었다.
재)국원문화유산연구원이 주관하는 이번 행사에서는 이성산성이 단순 방어시설을 넘어 시대에 따라 기능이 변화한 복합 행정·군사 거점이었음을 보여주는 조사 결과가 집중적으로 발표된다.
4차 발굴조사의 주요 성과로는 ▲삼국시대 토축성벽과 이후 그 상면에 조성한 고려시대 성벽 확인 ▲고려시대 역참 운영을 증명하는 ‘연우원년(1314년, 고려 충숙왕)’ 및 ‘참주(站主, 역의 우두머리)’ 명문 기와 출토 ▲담장을 두른 형태의 조선시대 건물지와 분청사기 확인 등이 꼽힌다.
행사는 백종오 한국교통대학교 교수의 ‘한국 고·중세 축성사의 전개와 옥천 이성산성 경관’의 기조강연으로 문을 연다. 이어지는 주제 발표에서는 ▲이성산성의 입지와 공간구조(김현봉, 국립가야문화유산연구소) ▲1~4차 발굴조사 성과와 중요유구의 비교 검토(김호준 외, 국원문화유산연구원) ▲이성산성과 삼국의 각축(이준성, 경북대학교) ▲고려·조선시대 이성산성과 오곤원의 변천과정(임형수, 충북대학교) ▲이성산성 종합정비계획 수립 방향(김규원, 한울문화유산연구원) 등이 차례로 발표된다.
발표 이후에는 유재춘 강원대학교 교수를 좌장으로 전문가 종합토론이 이어지며, 이성산성의 체계적인 보존·관리 방안에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄진다.
군 관계자는 “이성산성은 삼국사기에 기록된 ‘굴산성’으로 추정되는 우리 군의 핵심 유적”이라며, “이번 학술적 논의를 밑거름 삼아 이성산성을 군민들이 자긍심을 느낄 수 있는 역사 문화 공간으로 가꾸어 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Okcheon County announced that it will hold an academic conference on the theme of "The Historical Value of Okcheon Iseongsanseong Fortress" at the auditorium of the Youth Training Center Annex on the 17th.
This conference has been organized to share research findings derived from the 4th excavation of Okcheon Iseongsanseong Fortress and to shed new light on the historical nature of the site.
Organized by the Gukwon Institute of Cultural Heritage, this event will feature the intensive presentation of excavation results demonstrating that Iseongsanseong Fortress was not merely a defensive facility but a complex administrative and military hub whose functions evolved over time. Major achievements of the 4th excavation include: ▲ confirmation of earthen fortress walls from the Three Kingdoms period and Goryeo Dynasty walls built on top of them; ▲ excavation of roof tiles inscribed with ‘Yeonu 1-nyeon (1314, King Chungsuk of Goryeo)’ and ‘Chamju (Station Master),’ proving the operation of post stations during the Goryeo Dynasty; and ▲ confirmation of Joseon Dynasty building sites enclosed by walls and Buncheong pottery.
