이재명 대통령이 22일(현지시간) 베트남 동포들과 만나 "한·베트남 관계를 미래 지향·전략적 관계로 발전 시킬 것"이라고 밝혔다.
청와대에 따르면 이 대통령은 베트남 방문 이틀째인 이날 낮 첫 공식 행사로 하노이 한 호텔에서 열린 현지 동포 오찬 간담회 인사말에서 "한·베트남 관계는 참 특별하다"며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "양국은 서로에 3대 교역국이고 한국은 베트남 최대 투자국"이라며 "베트남 지도자들을 만나 원전·인프라·과학기술 등 전략 분야 협력을 확대할 것"이라고 했다.
또 "공급망 안정·지속 가능 성장·기후 변화 대응 등 글로벌 과제들에 더욱 고도 협력을 할 수 있을 것"이라며 "2022년 한·베트남 수교 30주년 계기로 양국 관계를 포괄적 전략 동반자 관계로 격상해 모든 분야 전방위적 협력을 하는 핵심 파트너가 됐다"고 덧붙였다.
