브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘 대권주자인 원희룡 전 제주지사는 17일 "윤석열 전 검찰총장은 금방 정리된다고 이준석 대표가 말한 것을 직접 들었다"고 17일 폭로했다.
원희룡 전 지사는 이날 오전 국회 소통관에서 대선공약 발표 뒤 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "지난 8월12일 (이준석 대표가) 상주에 있을 때 전화 통화하며 직접 들었다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
원희룡 전 지사에 따르면 예비 대선후보로서 경선준비위원회 운영 등과 관련한 유감을 표하기 위해 이준석 대표와 전화통화를 가졌다.
앞서 이준석 대표는 지난주에도 한 언론인과 대화 도중 '토론회 두 번이면 윤석열 전 총장을 낙마시킬 수 있다'는 취지로 발언한 것이 보도되며 의혹이 불거졌다. 이에 이준석 대표 측은 즉각 사실이 아니라고 주장해 의혹을 겨우 진화한 바 있다.
그러나 이번 원희룡 전 지사의 폭로로 인해 윤석열 후보와의 갈등 사태는 다시금 번질 것으로 보인다.
원희룡 전 지사는 "당 대표가 특정 후보가 '정리된다'고 한 것은 갈등이 정리된다는 뜻이 아니라 후보로서 지속성이 정리된다는 뜻이 아니겠느냐"면서 "그 앞뒤 워딩(발언)도 있는데 그것까지는 옮기고 싶지 않다"고 전했다.
이어 "불공정이라는 태풍의 눈 속에 이준석 대표가 와 있어서 너무 위험한 상황이다. 이런 것에 편승하고 있는 일부 후보들과 당내 중진들은 너무 비겁하다 생각한다"고 했다. 사실상 이준석 대표의 손을 들어준 홍준표 의원, 유승민 전 의원을 겨냥한 발언이다.
그는 또한 자신이 1위 주자인 윤석열 전 총장을 이길 수 있음을 자신하며 "그러나 이는 비전과 리더십과 국가운영 능력 검증 등을 통해 이겨야지, 경선 룰이나 경선 과정에서의 환경 등을 통해 인위적으로 하는 것은 불공정하다"고 지적했다.
원희룡 전 지사는 아울러 "당 대표가 해야할 일은 한가지다. 창피하다 생각하지 말고 정권교체를 당 중심의 역할을 하라"면서 "대표는 당의 어른이다. 나이가 많아서 어른이 아니라 모두의 입장을 모아내고, 거기에서 자기의 여러 가지 마음 고생이 있더라도 품어내야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
그러면서 "지금이라도 이준석 대표는 패널의 과거의 성공의 추억을 털어버리고 당 대표의 위상에 올라야 한다. 이 과정에서 체면이 상하고 본인의 뜻이 오해받는 게 있다 하더라도 대표의 옳음을 당원이 들어주지 않을리 없다"면서 "단칼에 고르디우스의 매듭을 푸시라"고 당부했다.

However, the revelation of former Governor Won Hee-ryong is expected to spread the conflict with Yoon Seok-yeol.
Won Hee-ryong, the former governor of the party, said, "The fact that a particular candidate is "cleared up" does not mean that conflicts will be sorted out, but that sustainability will be sorted out as a candidate."
He also said, "But it is unfair to artificially do it through vision, leadership and national management verification, and the environment in the primary or primary process," confident that he can beat former president Yoon Seok-yeol.
"The situation is so dangerous because CEO Lee Joon-seok is in the eye of the typhoon, which is unfair.
