브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤희숙 국민의힘 의원은 25일 국민권익위원회의 부동산 불법 거래 의혹 대상에 오른 것과 관련, 국회의원직 사퇴와 함께 대선 출마 포기를 선언했다.
윤희숙 의원은 이날 국회 소통관에서 기자회견을 열고 "저희 아버님의 농지법 위반의혹으로 국민께 심려를 끼쳐 송구하다. 당에서는 제 소명을 받아들여 본인과 관계없는 일이라고 혐의를 벗겨줬지만 정권교체 명분을 희화화 시킬 명분을 제공해서 대선 전투의 중요한 축을 허물수 있다는 위기감을 느끼지 않을 수 없었다"고 사퇴 의사를 밝혔다.
그는 "이 시간부로 대통령 후보 경선을 향한 여정을 멈추겠다. 또 국회의원직도 다시 서초갑 지역구민과 국민들께 돌려드리겠다"며 "비록 제 자신의 문제가 아니더라도 그동안 문재인 정권과 민주당 대선후보와 치열하게 싸워온 제가 국민들 앞에 책임을 다하는 모습을 보이는게 정권교체를 열망하는 국민들과 저를 성원해준 당원들께 보답하는 길이라 생각한다"라고 말했다.
이어 그는 "지난 1년 과분한 기대와 열망을 받아왔다. 국민의힘이 강건하고 단단한 정권교체의 길로 나아가길 응원하겠다"라며 "이번 대선의 최대 화두는 문재인 정부의 부동산 정책 실패와 내로남불 행태"라고 지적했다.
윤희숙 의원은 또한 권익위의 조사에 대해서도 강한 의구심을 갖는다라며 "독립가계로 살아온지 30년이 되는 저를 친정아버지와 엮은 무리수가 야당의원의 평판을 흠집내려는 의도가 아니고 무엇이겠나"라며 "권익위의 끼워맞추기식 조사는 우리나라가 정상화되기 위한 유일한 길이 정권교체 뿐이라는 걸 다시한번 보여줬다"고 비판했다.

한편 권익위는 윤희숙 의원 부친이 농지법 주민등록법 위반 의혹이 있다며 그를 이번 조사 결과 명단에 올렸다. 이에 국민의힘 지도부는 해당 부동산이 본인 소유가 아니라는 점과, 본인이 직접 개입한 사실이 없다는 소명을 받아들여 탈당 처분 대상에서 제외했다.
그러나 윤 의원은 대선출마 포기와 의원직 사퇴 뜻을 지도부에 뜻을 전달하자 이준석 대표를 비롯한 당 지도부는 그의 사퇴를 강하게 만류했으나 윤 의원은 뜻을 굽히지 않았다.
국민의힘은 윤 의원의 사퇴에 따라 총 의석수는 104석에서 103석으로 줄었으며 부동산 투기 의혹으로 탈당 권유및 제명될 예정인 의원 6명이 순차적으로 당에서 나간다면 개헌저지선인 101석이 무너질 수 있다는 우려가 제기되고 있다.

Meanwhile, the commission listed Yoon Hee-sook's father as a result of the investigation, saying he is suspected of violating the National Registration Act on Agricultural Land. In response, the leadership of the people's power accepted the fact that the property did not belong to him and that he did not directly intervene and excluded it from the party's disposal.
However, when Yoon told the leadership that he would give up running for the presidential election and resign, the party leadership, including Lee Joon-seok, strongly dissuaded him from resigning, but Yoon did not budge.
