대구이주여성인권센터 전 대표가 허위 서류를 제출해 정부 보조금을 부정수급한 혐의로 기소되었다.

5일 대구지방검찰청 형사제1부(부장검사 유도윤)는 대구이주여성인권센터 전 대표 A씨와 전 상담소장 B씨 등 2명을 보조금 관리에 관한 법률 위반, 지방재정법 위반 등의 혐의로 불구속 기소했다고 밝혔다.
검찰에 따르면 이들은 문서를 허위로 꾸며 근무하지 않은 직원에 대한 보조금을 받아 챙기는 식의 불법을 여러차례 저지른 것으로 알려진다.
이들은 지난 2018년 6월부터 2019년 4월까지 지인을 센터 부설기관 소속 상담원인 것처럼 허위로 문서를 제출해 여성가족부와 대구시로부터 약 1억 3천만 원의 보조금을 받아챙겼다.
뿐만 아니라 2015년 3월부터 2019년 7월까지 자원봉사자가 진행한 강의를 자격을 갖춘 한국어 강사가 진행한 강의로 꾸며 약 1억 7천만 원의 여성가족부 보조금을 챙기기도 했다.
2019년 3월에는 상담소장인 B씨가 자리에서 물러났음에도 여전히 재직 중인 것처럼 허위 신청서를 제출해 약 2억 5천만 원의 국가 및 대구시보조금을 부정 수령했다.
이 외에도 A씨는 2014년 12월부터 2019년 9월까지 7개의 민간단체로부터 ‘여성폭력 피해자의 사회.경제적 자립 및 폭력예방 인식개선 지원사업’ 등의 명목으로 지원받은 사업비 약 1억 4천만 원을 센터 일반 운영비로 임의 사용하여 업무상 횡령 혐의를 받고 있다.
