한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 박범수, 이하 한울본부)는 지난 17일 울진군보건소(소장 전찬호)에서 의료 취약지역 주민들의 건강관리를 위한 ‘찾아가는 건강버스’전달식을 진행했다고 18일 밝혔다.

‘찾아가는 건강 버스 지원’사업은 오·벽지마을 주민을 대상으로 하는 방문형 보건의료 서비스로 건강 버스에는 의료 장비가 갖추어져 있어 전문인력이 기초 검사 및 상담과 한방진료, 물리치료 등 의료서비스를 제공할 수 있다.
박범수 본부장은 “이번 울진군 보건소 의료용 버스 지원이 의료복지의 사각지대를 해소하여 건강한 지역사회 구현에 보탬이 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 한울본부는 주민에게 실질적인 도움을 주는 복지생태계 구축에 앞장서겠다”고 했다.
전찬호 울진군보건소장은“울진군은 노인 인구 비중이 높은 반면, 교통이 불편해 접근성 높은 의료서비스 지원이 절실하다”며, “그런 의미에서 지원받은 의료용 버스는 주민들의 간지러운 곳을 긁어주는 서비스가 될 것”이라고 말했다.
2006년부터 지금까지 한울본부가 지역사회에 지원한 맞춤형 복지 차량은 총 37대로 한울본부는 이번 의료용 대형버스 구입 및 개조에 4억여 원을 지원했다.앞으로도 한울본부는 지역주민의 수요를 반영한 복지를 실현하기 위해 최선을 다할 예정이다.
