울진군의회(의장 장선용)는 설 명절을 맞아 지난 25일 관내 사회복지시설, 군부대 등 8곳을 위문했다고 26일 밝혔다.

이번 설맞이 위문에는 장선용 의장과 군의원 모두가 참여하였으며 관내 노인요양원,영신해밀홈, 인덕사랑마을 등 온정의 손길이 절실한 사회복지시설을 방문하여 실버용품,위생용품 등 위문품을 전달했다.
울진군의회는 시설 현황과 운영시 어려운 점 등 현장 애로사항을 청취했고 코로나19장기화로 인하여 가족·이웃 간의 만남이 어려워진 상황인 만큼 시설입소자들이소외감을느끼지 않도록 성심껏 보살펴 줄 것을 당부했다.
또한 휴일, 밤낮 상관없이 군민의 안전을 위해 수고하는 군부대·해양경찰서·소방서도 함께 위문하여 그 노고를 격려했다.
장선용 의장은“코로나19의 장기화로 인해 군민 모두가 힘든 시기를 보내고 있지만,설 명절만큼은 소외된 이웃 없이 따뜻하게 보내길 바라는 마음에서 위문품을 준비하였다”면서“앞으로도 지역사회에 따뜻한 나눔의 문화가 퍼져나갈 수 있도록 울진군의회가 앞장서 실천하는 의정활동을 펼치겠다.”고 밝혔다.
