브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대선후보와 윤석열 국민의힘 후보간 TV토론이 사실상 무산됐다.
민주당과 국민의힘은 31일 오후 6시로 토론을 예정했으나, 실무진간의 토론 협상은 열리지 않고 있다.
더욱이 윤석열 후보가 이날 오후 일정을 새롭게 공지하면서 토론 무산은 기정사실화되는 분위기다.
그간 양당은 토론을 어떻게 할지, 토론 시 자료 지참 여부 등을 두고 공방을 벌여왔는데, 결국 이견을 좁히지 못하고 실무협상은 중단된 것이다.
토론 주제에 대해선 이재명 후보측에서 한발 물러서며 제한없는 자유토론으로 정해졌지만, 윤 후보 측에서 대장동 관련 자료를 토론 시 꼭 지참해야겠다고 주장하며 양측의 대치가 이어져 왔다.
이런 상황 속에 윤 후보측에서 이날 오후 서해 피살 공무원 유가족 면담, 안양소방서 방문 등 일정을 잡아 공지했다. 혹여나 여야 실무단이 극적으로 다시 만나 협상을 재개한다해도 예정된 오후 6시에 토론회를 진행하기란 물리적으로 불가능하다는 의견이 지배적이다.

한편 안철수 국민의당 후보와 심상정 정의당 후보는 거대 양당이 양자토론 무산을 공식 발표한 것은 아니라며 전날 시작된 철야농성을 이어가고 있다. 이들은 양자 토론은 애초부터 하지 말았어야 할 부당하고 불공정한 시도라며 농성에 들어갔다.
