브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 효성은 16일 중부지역 집중호우로 인해 피해를 입은 수재민들을 위한 성금 3억원을 대한적십자사에 전달했다고 밝혔다.
성금은 지주사인 ㈜효성과 4개 사업회사인 효성티앤씨㈜, 효성중공업㈜, 효성첨단소재㈜, 효성화학㈜이 함께 마련했다.
성금은 대한적십자사를 통해 서울, 경기, 강원, 충청 등 이번 집중호우로 피해가 큰 지역의 피해 복구와 이재민 지원에 사용될 예정이다.
조현준 효성 회장은 “이번 중부지역의 갑작스러운 집중 호우로 피해를 입은 주민들과 구호 인력들에게 조금이나마 보탬이 됐으면 좋겠다”고 전했다.
한편, 효성은 지난 3월 강원도 산불 피해 복구를 위해 성금 3억원을 기부했으며, 2020년에는 코로나19 극복을 위한 성금 5억원을 전달한 바 있다.
