고양시가 맑고 깨끗한 수돗물을 공급하기 위해 오는 11월 15일까지 배수지 내에 설치되어 있는 저수조 청소를 실시한다,

수도법은 6개월마다 1회씩 배수지 내에 설치되어 있는 저수조를 정기적으로 청소하도록 규정하고 있다.
이에 따라 고양특례시에서는 매년 상ㆍ하반기 2회에 걸쳐 저수조 청소를 실시하고 있다.
이번 하반기 청소 대상은 관내 배수지, 조절지 등 상수도 시설지 18개소이다.
저수조 내부의 벽에 낀 물 때 제거를 비롯하여 미생물 번식을 방지하기 위한 소독 등을 실시하며, 수돗물 단수 등을 방지하기 위하여 배수지별 저수조를 나누어 실시한다.
또한, 저수조 청소를 위해 수조를 비운 시기에 맞춰 저수조의 구조물 안전점검 및 시설물 보수를 병행하여 수돗물 낭비도 최소화할 예정이다.
고양시 관계자는 “저수조 청소, 정기적 수질검사, 실시간 수질측정기 설치·운영 등을 통하여 시민들이 안심할 수 있는 깨끗한 수돗물을 공급하겠다. 수돗물 수질관리에 만전을 기하고 있으니 시민들께서는 안심하고 수돗물을 사용하시기 바란다.”고 말했다.[고양=박정호기자]
