10월 6일자로 <문학人신문>이 창간됐다.
<문학人신문>을 창간한 민윤기 편집인(시인)은 창간사에서 “공식 문인단체 회원만 3만 명이 넘는데도 신문방송 등 모든 언론에서 문학 관련 뉴스가 예능과 각종 생활 기사로 축소되거나 전멸되다시피 한 현실이 안타까워 이를 직접 해결하기 위해 신문 창간을 결심하게 되었다”면서 “신문 제호를 ‘문학신문’이 아니라 굳이 ‘문학인“ 신문으로 한 이유는 제호 그대로 문학인들 소식, 문학작품 소개, 문학인들이 주요 관심사”를 담을 것이라고 말했다.
주간 <문학人신문>은 창간은 문학인들을 위한 새로운 플랫폼으로 등장한 국내 언론사상 최초의 사례인 것.
문학人신문사측은 “매주 16~24면, 목요일자로 발행될 <문학人신문>은 부당 2,500원, 월 10,000원, 연간 120,000원 구독료를 책정하고, 새롭고 대대적인 정기구독 캠페인도 병행하고 있다. 예를 들면 정기구독자에게 ‘고유독자번호’를 부여해 공개적인 독자 쇼를 통해 노트북, 복사기, 노트북 기능탑재 핸드폰, 유명시인 직접 서명 베스트셀러 시집 증정 등을 할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
