과천시 문원동 체육회와 문원동 주민자치위원회가 지난 10월 1일 문원꿈나라 체육소공원에서 ‘문원 어린이 축구 페스티벌’을 3년 만에 다시 개최했다.
관내 초등학교 46개팀 248명이 참가한 이날 행사에서 참가자들은 학년별로 팀리그전을 펼치며 실력을 겨뤘다. 유치부, 중학생부의 이벤트 경기도 함께 진행됐다.
문원동체육회는 지난 2017년부터 매년 어린이들의 축구 활성화와 기량 향상을 위해 ‘문원 어린이 축구 페스티벌’을 개최해왔다. 이날 경기에 참가한 전원에게는 메달과 축구공이 전달됐다.
박찬수 문원동주민자치위원장은 “과천의 축구 꿈나무들이 앞으로도 맘껏 축구 기량을 펼칠 수 있도록 지속적으로 관심을 가지고 지원하겠다”며, “어린이 축구 페스티벌이 가족과 함께 즐길 수 있는 하나의 축제로 자리매김 할 수 있도록 계속 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
